They have been 'tempting' Mr Putin to attack Ukraine for weeks..and i am surprised he 'took the Bait'.!
Anyway, it's nothing for us here in Western Europe or the USA...BUT..ofcourse now BAe systems and others can send weapons to Ukraine..and create a longer conflict...and the if it turns into a long war..then Mr Putin will have to justify this to his own people...as more soldiers are Killed! If he stayed in the Donbas..that is one thing...but it sounds like there has been Air attacks on other parts of Ukraine...so this could lead to a longer more protracted conflict....which is what the West wants i think..!

Hi Brett, according to what I see in domestic Telegram channels, no new weapon delivery will be. Conflict will be over within 1-2 days as 90% of Ukraine is already under Russian control. I just hope that everything will be over at this stage. Although it is not logical from the geopolitical point of view.

Westerners, it seams, have very little concept of history as they perceive it through the well oiled propaganda machine which has been running on overtime. The average person has no recollection of the 2014 US backed coup and subsequent financing and arming of Ukraine who have been ethnically cleansing the people of that land, who have been there for generations. They ignore the mass graves and eight year campaign against it's citizens leading up to this point, it's much easier to demonize Putin as a precursor to extract and justify an ever increasing military budget.

Indeed Viresh. That's why I do not like geopolitics and politics in general. This is a very dirt thing. I"m surprised a bit as you well know this subject, I thought that people outside Russia is barely interested in this and trying to find how the real things stand.

Yes my friend I agree with you entirely about the nature of politics, like you I do not like it. But as Mahatma Gandhi said "Anyone who says they are not interested in politics is like a drowning man who insists he is not interested in water". Many people are questioning more, many people are rejecting the mainstream narrative, some are too scared to say these things even when they know it but it is changing and I am hopeful more people will wake up.

Yes you are right? I certainly did not hear about any 'Western Backed Coup'!? What Coup? In 2014 Russia took back Crimea..which originally belonged to it!? I certainly didn't here about any 'Ethnic Cleansing'! What ethnic cleansing are you talking about? I have met quite a few Ukrainian people over the years..and i didn't here about any 'Nazis' or people being killed in Ukraine because of their Religion or otherwise! Besides..are there not Nazis still in Germany and other parts of Europe!? We even have some Nazis still here in the UK! So what...? There are also still Communists in countries across Europe. So what? How are these People going to threaten me, you..or anybody else when they are in such small numbers.?

Guys, let's keep this discussion aside, Ok? We're focused on the markets, not on the politics. Concerning this subject - I just say that Brett is not quite familiar with the processes that are going on there. Your view is a surface a bit, and you are confusing facts. Crimea was after the Coup, and mostly was a result of the Coup. Mostly because this topic is "not comfortable" for western media and it is not covered there. But this is understandable because you're not Russian or Ukrainian ;) Because I also do not know deep processes that stand in GB.
The 2014 Coup in Ukraine - just ignore some socialistic notes in the text, but the sequence and meaning of events are correct/
