I think only this, if the copyright owners are inside USA should be almost simple to obtain a quick shut down of the .com cloned site. (They cloned also Clickbank frame).
If are outside USA (or in Russia ) could it be more complex.
All my respect, obviously, for the original developers of this software.
I write software from about 20 years and I understand very well how ..... disappoint seeing my work of months or years copied and sold by other people.
