FPA Introduces Managed Forex Accounts Performance Testing

The FPA's Performance Testing of EAs is going well. There are also two Performance Tests on Signals Services. More additions to both of those categories are expected soon.

Finding someone you can trust to turn your money over to can be difficult. How can you be sure that the performance shown on an account manager's page is real? Today, the FPA begins Performance Testing managed forex accounts.

I hope to quickly add more Managed Forex Accounts services. The only requirements are that they be listed in the FPA's reviews and that they can place the trades into an MT4 account. If you have a good account management company that meets these requirements, ask them to use the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of the page.

One other account manager volunteered, but his website isn't ready, so I can't set up his review page yet.

And the first company to volunteer for this is...

Excel FX

Just follow the links to the review page and look in the upper-left to the Excel FX Demo Test.

You can also check out the Managed Forex Test Lab page, which will list all the Managed Forex Services being tested in one place and allows for sorting by name, average pips per week, or average equity per week. There's only one there now, but more will be added in the coming weeks.

Notes: I'd like to personally thank Shaun of Excel-FX for agreeing to let his company be the first test subject for the FPA's Managed Accounts Performance Testing.

Due to the possibility that people who are not subscribed to the Signals Service could use the Performance Test Page to copy trades, the default 15 minute update has been over-ridden. The page really only updates about once a day. Please ignore the part of the page that talks about the statement being updated every 15 minutes.

Exact executions of orders will vary a little from broker to broker and from demo to live accounts.

Haad Rin Capital

Just follow the links to the review page and look in the upper-left corner for the link to the performance test. (NOTE: After the test ended, the test results were lost in a database crash sometime in 2010. Website of company was closed and there were no reviews. The review page was deleted.)

Do you know a Managed Forex Account service that would like to be added? Ask them to use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the pages inside the FPA's website. The only requirements are that they be listed in the FPA's reviews and that they can place the trades into an MT4 account.

Notes: I'd like to personally thank the people at Haad Rin Capital for volunteering to be the second company to join the FPA's Performance Testing of Managed accounts.

I've got a couple more volunteers, including the first live account being tested.

Forex Exclusive Club (with a LIVE account)

Sterling Forex Investments

And there is one managed account company that lost all but $298.03 of a $100,000 demo account in about 3 weeks. The test on this one has ended.

Kat Financials

If Kat Financials would like to try again, they are welcome to set up another account for the FPA to monitor.

Looks like Kat Financials changed strategies. They were using stoplosses and were doing ok. Then they stopped using them and blew the account.

Time to declaw the cat.

Oh, were they? Then maybe went like: "ok guys, we can do better and they're stealing our stops anyway, so let's drop them all ....;)
