Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

I am looking for a reliable, trustworthy Forex managed account broker. One of the companies I came across that took my interest was 'FX Investment Institute'. I would be really interested to find out about peoples experiences with this company, good or bad. Their trade stats look quite impressive but that can sometimes only tell half the story.
Was making a withdrawal fairly straight forward?

Any feedback would be really appreciated.

Cheers

Red Flags all over it.

Their returns are just a table of claimed profits. No statements of any kind are displayed. Anyone could open a website and claim any rate of return they like.

Returns date back into 2009, but the website was only registered in 2010.

No postal contact info, yet they want you to send them money (instead of sending money to broker and letting them trade your account).

Love the Statue of Liberty graphics. Funny that the company says it's registered in Panama and their banks are in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Odd that none of those specialists from worldwide leading banks are named.

No mention of what broker they use.

[langtitle=de]Meine Erfahrung: Alles läuft super !!![/langtitle]

Hallo @all.

I'd be a lot happier with that endorsement if it had come from someone with an established account here at the FPA.

Another worrisome thought is that this could be a Ponzi scheme. In many of those, early investors do make some profits. The problem is that the profits are just money taken from other investors and it can collapse at any time.

Don't you just love it when a "1 poster" post a question about some shady company and another "1 poster" reply with a love song about that shady company???:p

First poster may be a real question. His account has been with the FPA for a long time, and the reply came months later. The second guy creating a brand new account just to reply and tell us about how great the company is looks a lot more suspicious.

And the best about the love singer is that he joined, logged in, made the post, logged out and disappeared. That leaves a really bad smell for a scam in progress.
Unless Mr. happy client ANSM comes back and is really keen to prove he is right about them by undergoing the P-test:)

FX Investment Institute only offers investment opportunities (alternative investment forms), NOT managed accounts. Each investor receives an investment account registered to their name which is accessible online via an investment platform, where the performance, etc. can be tracked daily.

The core of FX Investment Institute consists of 6 traders who, due to their ideological fight against interest taking by the banks, have made it possible to participate in their trading activites in the form of three separate investments.

Information is available for anyone to read in FX Investment Institute's company profile why FX Investment Institute has to take such an unconventional path in the fight against the banks (the fight for interest for the people). In fact, this is the only way in which the goal can be achieved.

As the Forex market is the most liquid trading market in the world, and FX Investment Institute has only offered investment opportunities since November 2009, unlimited returns are still possible – until such time as the Forex market reaches its natural limits of liquidity, at which point the returns will gradually become more moderate.

The risks are transparent. FX Investment Institute is armed and ready to fight the banks with their own weapons for the long haul.

FX Trading24

P.S. The main domain name of FX Investment Institute was created on 21-Oct-09 (WHOIS). Launch and first performance results were November 2009.

Let me see if I can sort this out.

OK, FxInvestmentInstitute.com - created October 21, 2009-10-21.

English flag redirects to fx-investment-institute.com, first registered on 2010-01-21. That would be the source of the confusion over dates.

You seem to be a bit vague. It's not a managed account, but your service provides investment "opportunities" via 6 unnamed traders.

Let's say I throw $10K your way. Do I have a trading platform where I can enter trades based on recommendations from your 6 traders? Do some or all of your traders place trades in my account (accessible from my platform)? Is my money dropped into an investment pool with funds from other clients? Or does this work in some completely different way.

From what I can see on the website, it looks like this most closely resembles a pooled investment traded by company employees.

The biggest issue with pooled accounts is that clients typically have no way to know if money is really being traded or not. There is almost never direct proof from any broker that even 1 trade ever took place.

Without a pile of additional information, including real proof of successful trading, I recommend keeping money far away from this one.

I invested in FX Investment Institute about 18 months ago as it was the only outfit I could find with a reasonably consistent 6% per month return. Due diligence was difficult as there are no names, no phone numbers, no regulation, just email contact. Only reassurance came from FXTrading24 in Zurich, who act as referring agents. Anyway I decided to go ahead and invested equally in all three strategies. Daily performance is available from their website, account summaries are emailed at the end of each month, withdrawals were dealt with promptly, emails replied to promptly, in fact all Admin was well handled. I have now withdrawn all my funds and realised the expected profit.

Nevertheless, to put your money with them is a matter of almost blind trust. I only put a small proprtion of my funds with them. With the benefit of hindsight, I would not take this kind of risk again, preferring to invest with a regulated broker under an LPOA. Nevertheless I had a faultless experience with them.
