Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

Why when AxiTrader and FXPro are still open and showing live prices are fxcm on both the trading station and MT4 live account versions closed for business??

Could it be that contrary to what they say thet are a market maker??

The forex market doesn't observe holidays, but some brokers do. Considering the limited liquidity, trading on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day would be very risky.

If you want, send a message to Jason Rogers and ask him to come and explain how FXCM handles major holidays.

Hi Paul,

The reason FXCM's trading desk closes for Christmas and New Year's is because liquidity is extremely low at those times and doing otherwise could lead to erratic pricing and poor fills on your orders.

I can't speak for other brokers, but FXCM provides traders with No Dealing Desk (NDD) forex execution on all standard accounts (2k minimum opening balance) where each client order is offset one-for-one with the best prices from competing liquidity providers. (We also offer a DD execution option for mini account traders who can open their accounts with as little as $50.)
