FXCM EURGBP price squeeze only in FXCM!

Hi,

It's strange for me to see that demo & live price have different lows in FXCM.

Today in Eurgbp I notice in live RAW Feed lows are 0.82437

FXCM demo MT4: 0.82451

ATC MT4 ( demo RAW ) : 0.82469

GFT live: 0.82542

ProRealtime: 0.82553

Roboforex ( demo ): 0.82531

Pepperstone: 0.82541

Go Markets ( live ) : 0.82539

PFG best live: 0.8252

Oanda live: 0.82504

Markets.com live: 0.82527


There is a serious problem here.

See attached Screen shot FXCM own demo VS live! Also other demo & live didn't find anywhere ticks below 0.8250 may be I should check some russian brokers then for that!

& the funny part I got EURGBP trade stop 0.8245 triggered with a price improvement 0.82458 !!

I'm not so worried about demo feeds being off. It's the variation between live feeds that's a lot more worrisome. Supposedly, more and more brokers have better and better connections to major banks, but this sort of comparison makes me wonder.

FXCM stop hunting

Hi guys,

The main issue is not demo but watch EURGBP yesterday lows... FXCM managed to have lows below over 7 pips compared to many brokers around ( GFT/DUKAS/OANDA/PFG) to name few.

One can never rely on demo pricing!

There are some who will be correct when they say their demo keeps up with live feeds. But generally demo's do not receive the same attention as their live feeds. It's not all that unusual to see such variations.

They ought to put a warning out that the two are not the same, yet they don't.

A demo ought to always reflect exactly as the live, as that is how traders not only get used to the station but also hone there trading strategies. New traders especially need to be able to trust that when they switch to a live acct. there will be no surprises!
