GBP/USD better?

Hello. I was just curious that seems like GBP/USD is the more popular vehicle compared to other pairs. Is this true and any reason for that?
I am a night person (living in california) and london hours seem to be better for me. Which pair is best to trade for my situation?

GBPUSD is generally the most traded pair, and therefor has the greatest liquidity. Some people decide that it's best to tightly focus their forex strategies on only 1 pair or a limited number of pairs, and the GBPUSD is usually one of those selected.

True. The advantage of the GBPUSD is that it tends to move farther and faster, thus there are greater rewards. The drawback is that there are also greater risks.

I think the EURUSD is probably the second most popular pair for day traders.
