Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

General discussions of a financial company
waiting to hear

I know I'm very intersted in opening and account and giving them a try. I'm e-mailed a few basic questions to their customer support and now I'm just waiting to hear.

Grid?

Certainly not a martingale since all the positions in a run are the same size. But it does continue adding positions against the trend in a way that would take a very strong stomach or quite a few barf bags to endure. This thing acts like a grid, which can certainly blow in a strong trend just like a martingale. Still, it's been going 6 months and hasn't blown yet.

In the blog from the site, they don't make it sound like a grid, like there's some technical strategy behind it. To me, it certainly is not following a trend. It starts off counter-trend & keeps on adding as the positions go against it, just like a grid would. No way to know really. Just got to pony up your live account & take your chances if you want to see...

An attempt to keep non-subscribers from using their trades. They did the same thing with their myfxbook page & this issue is discussed in their blog at the site.

It hasn't blown yet but we've been in a channel for 6 months. What happens when it changes to a trend? That being said, they can update the EA to change as the market changes which is a nice advantage for Genial but I'd like to see it first.

That is precisely the question I'm asking. They are buying into declines and selling into rallies. Sometimes oversold markets correct sideways or even decline at a slower rate for a time before the trap door opens again. And sometimes oversold markets crash. It's not commonly appreciated, but the 1929 and 1987 market crashes didn't just come out of the blue. The markets had been declining for some time before they took the big swan dive. Unless Genial's system (or they themselves, executing some sort of manual control) are smart enough to recognize such a situation for what it is, the result will be a busted account after a margin call. Long-Term Capital Management supposedly had Nobel laureates working for them. That's pretty smart.

Some on this board, and in the rating scheme claim this has already happened, but the most I see in closed drawdown is about 20% which is big, but certainly survivable with such a high return system. It appears to have survived for 7 months near the top of the rankings, which is remarkable in the forex world. Investor access to an account can't be faked, so I'm guessing those with harsh words opened their platforms to find a 50% drawdown & hastily acted to save what remained of their accounts. Or maybe they got margin calls on that 50:1 leverage the CFTC handcuffs US residents with?!

$3000 account is got margin call, almost wipe off, only $333 remaining during last week,

12 open position, the stop lost keep change from 1.37=>1.36=>1.35

unrealize lost -$2720.23 and Magin $333.12

this EA try to add more open position if trend against you, kind of 1+1+1 and until trend reverse or wipe off your account. unless you have huge balance.

I have a 20% unrealized loss on normal settings so I don't know how you are getting those results.

Problem is in your position size

0.1 lots is way, way too big for a $3K account. I have no idea why the system would put you into a position that size unless that was the smallest position the broker allowed. In that case, you should have found a broker allowing microlots. Looking more closely at the trading, your lots were ALL that size, and ordinarily with drawdown, the size of subsequently opened positions should decrease. At least that was the case in my account.

So, I do indeed think this was your problem. I believe they state pretty explicitly that with an account under $10K you need a broker which allows a microlot minimum size (e.g., hotforex, but NOT finfx). Don't know about alpari nz. But didn't you read that warning??

That said, I have my own doubts about the approach (see my "evaluation" when it shows up under "Aaron from Texas" --- currently being moderated). While I was nowhere close to a margin call, I hit a 42% drawdown last night between closed & opened. It's a bit better now. But I don't see how it can get out of this in under a week, if it can get out of it at all, let alone see a profit.
