Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

General discussions of a financial company
I have 3 recomendations one of which is Gftforex, but after reading most of the reviews, am unsure because of the days taken to "close" the trade with this outfit... Anyone keen to enlighten me as to what it will mean to me as a swing trader if I use them to place my trades.... most greatfully yours Ed

I have several accounts with GFT, including some demo accounts, and manager accounts as well.
I suffer the same problems over and over again: The platform freezes up - and I have realized that it happens regularly under certain circumstances.
I run their auto trading system, have written my own strategies and they work beautifully. Now, when the ATS builds up a profitable position, mostly counter trend, and then I want to close out when that expected move occurs, the platform freezes up. Hung application, run time error, external I don't know what......
Now it has gotten worse: They did in the middle of the market disable my auto trading system - while it was highly profitable. AND IT HAPPENS ONLY TO THE ACCOUNT THAT HAS RUN UP PROFITS - the rest running parallel do NOT suffer any sort of problem. Before I realized it, I had incurred the loss of ALL the profits that had been piled up during the day. They claim it might be technical and wanted the logs. It is NOT TECHNICAL with the exception of THEM disabling trading or worse, disabling the automated order execution. On MY computer there is no log of course of THEIR ACTIONS at the dealing desk. The head of the dealing desk is rude, snobby and I intend to file charges with the FSA and the FTC if this does not get resolved amicably.

Anyone suffering similar problems? Any input is greatly appreciated

GFT PIP Spread

I've had an account with GFT for over a year and I'm beginning to notice how their pip spread changes moment to moment. I have been taken out of trades because they change their pip spread so frequently as I use stops to exit trades. It never reached my actual price exit but because of their regular pip changes it can effect you negatively. Because of this I am now looking arond to possibly switch brokers.

Is this a common occurrence with most brokers? Is there an honest broker out there with a good platform like GFT as I do like the platform itself.

I have close profitable trades of 5% value of my acc. But 3 days later I have a 3.81% loss as they say the base currency which i placed the trades in changed in value for the negative . In effcet we might as well do a carry trade and not bother with anything else. Also extremely poor , rude customer service. I would give them no stars

gft forex

I was unfortunate enough to open an account with GFT and platform freezes is their way of manipulating the market. They also activated my stoploss 70 pips below my request on the usd.cad.saying that was the earliest they could give me a value -no new window asking if i wanted that price, just gave me a price they decided on.Be very careful with these guys.I give them a zero rating. My email is clasgolf@msn.com if any body wants the actual trade info.:hissyfit:

These bums have been playing that "readjustment of closed trades" BS game since they opened-AND THEY STILL GET FRESH MEAT! This criminal behavior is now years old. When will Forex traders learn?

GFT Sign Up Bonus SCAM

In June I responded to an Email offer by GFT Forex that I would receive $400 if I opened an account with GFT with a minimum of $4,000. I called their representative, Luke Zinger, for details. Mr. Zinger told me that I just needed to place 20 regular lot or 200 mini lot trades within 60 days of opening my account and that I would receive the $400 bonus. I opened the account with considerably more than $4,000, placed over 30 regular lot trades, and waited. Nothing was added to my account. I called GFT numerous times, had a customer service order opened each time, and kept being told that their person in charge of Sign-On Bonuses would contact me. Finally, on October 1, 2010, I received an Email from Jim Howe, GFT Customer Care Specialist, informing me that although I had made 30.2 round trip trades that they required 40 trades, that I would not receive my bonus and that the time to place the trades had expired on 8/18/10. Somehow he made sure to wait two months after this expiration date before responding to my numerous phone calls.

This is pure Bait-And-Switch scamming. I was lured into an account that I was not ready for and forced to overtrade 20 trades too quickly for a beginner, within their required 60 days, lost nearly $2,000 on the trades, now fraudulently lied to and told to take-a-hike on the $400 bonus.

These dishonest GFT scammers need to share a bunk with Bernie Madoff and similar other dregs of society. Please be warned and expect to be swindled by GFT.

After reading these posts about GFT I'm now getting worried. It's now July 2012 and it would be good to hear what other traders are experiencing with GFT.

Ok I have had it with GFT Forex!!! They are complete con artist and psychological bullies the retail trader. I hope no one supports this brand as they are in business as a disguise only to steal the retail investors money because of lack of experience. If you are experience trader and you open an account with GFT, just pretend you are a retail newbie and watch how you get treated after awhile.

I have had this GFT account 1 year and its over Im closing it and looking for a better broker. If you go to the beginning of this thread and read the review Max made you will see exactly why I am disgusted with this broker.

I never read Max's review until today and it is exactly what I have experienced this past year as a GFT Forex client!!. SCAMMERS!
