I received an email promoting the use of an Expert Adviser [EA] or robot,
as some like to call them, called The Appmobilebot, apparently developed by Gunnar Erikkson team.

"The boys from Cupertino are making insane money! Did you know that Apple is the world's biggest company?
Yes, Apple passes Google as the world's most valuable brand, ranking says!
Like, so huge that it could own an entire country and every citizen in it?
Get a piece of the cake. Are you in?" the advert read.

"And did you know it generated over 300 millionaires just when it IPOed?

Apple, Inc. stock IPO created 300 millionaires 33 years ago today [I think this linked is now disabled]

However, you need substantial money to invest into stock to make a few petty gains - like 10-30% a year...
Gunnar Erikkson team and APL bot speed up this process by 100%! ONE HUNDRED PERCENT!

Q: Why use APL Bot instead of buying the Apple stock?
A: The software uses a unique filtering algorithm to spot potentially profitable entry points for Apple stock, and get a large number of profitable trades in a short period of time. Now, you can just buy Apple stock and wait a while for it to grow, but why would you bother tying up your cash when you can get this new Apple Bot to trade the stock constantly - generating cash for you in a matter of hours, not months or years!

Q: How does the APL bot work? Please show!
I decided to shot a quick video for you showing you how it works, how you can activate your copy and get outstanding results like other members from our group! I uploaded it into your APL bot members area, so simply login to watch it! (Must see. It's only 1.52 min). I'm very proud of our creation! Over the coming months you can expect some insane results, as the iWatch is rolling out big time and APL is going to expand its product fleet even more!

Make sure you turn Autotrade on - and watch your results soar!

We will be in touch - as I will notify you of the great things that are coming with APL!

Naturally I was intrigued; not just from the stand point of making good money but because I have spent a good part of my life investigating,
testing and even developing my own trading EA's.

As soon as I registered and paid in two lots of £250 GBP cash; GT Options contacted me and asked me send documents through, in order to verify my identity. I duly did this and not long afterwards I got a couple of telephone calls from one of their "Account Managers" Richard Johnson, based in the USA, who immediately tried to get me to trigger my VISA card in order to send over another $2,500, as it would "qualify me for a trading bonus so that the account would be trading using the bonus cash, not my deposit." I stopped him and insisted that I wanted to see how the system performed with a small amount first, rather than send through larger amounts with no real proof of product. A good job I did too!

When I logged into given web link: members Appmobilebot area and activated the auto-trader, the system started trading FOREX pairs!

To make matters worse, it appeared to only have a less than 50% win rate, placing lots of £25 but only winning £44 - if it won at all!

On seeing this, I immediately contacted GT Options Customer Services - but they just ignored my instructions to stop the trades and return my funds. Since then, GT Options have just ignored any attempt I have made to contact them and the account continues to trade, making even more losses.

I have now turned to my UK bank for assistance in the hope that they can help me, as I paid by VISA debit card and also I am hoping that pressure from the FPA will also assist this process.

These scams are becoming quite intricate and sophisticated and we must work together to stamp them out!

Invite representatives from both the trading bot and the broker to come and join the discussion here.

Did you issue the invitation as requested?

In the meantime, in another thread, GT Options was tied into a nest of brokers. Several were already marked as scam. Some of the others had Traders Court guilty votes. Since these were all linked, all of them have been marked as scams.

Thanks for the clarification.
Could you link this discussion to the other threads and verdict, please?

I tried to contact the broker and the trading bot and invite representatives from both to come and join the discussion but ever since taking my money, they do not respond to me at all [what a surprise]. I've now written to the Bulgarian Organised crime squad, CDOCC, as GT Options now give an address on their web site as being located in Sofia, and being owned by The World Marketing Group Limited and MG Ventures Limited also located in the Republic of Bulgaria More importantly, I have written to VISA and also made a complaint to the SEC about the practice of banks legitimising these scams by giving such organisations Merchant Card services and allowing them to use the VISA logo and when complaints of fraud are made, they do nothing about it. Perhaps others should do the same, as it appears their business may be too profitable for VISA and other card service providers to want to shut down too quickly.

Here's the thread with the evidence tying about a dozen broker sites to one company - Greymountain Management:

Most binary brokers also have connections in Israel. A report here certainly won't hurt:

My personal advice is this:

Binary Options is nothing more than betting on red or black at the roulette table, but with 2 exceptions.

First, roulette offers a much lower average loss after 100 bets than binary options does.

Second, win or lose, a real casino will let you cash in your chips whenever you like.

Like a casino, all the profits for binary brokers come from money taken from traders. Any "sure to win" system is either a scam or else will be quickly banned (try jotting down the cards which come up while playing blackjack at a casino and see how long until you are invited to leave).

Avoid binary options like you would avoid an unlicensed and unregulated casino.
