I am very very curious. Since some of the people manage to afford an account for $10,000, why dont just go for reputable broker like Saxo Bank or Citibank or etc? I know some of the 'reputable' broker might offer lower leverage, but for sure there will be better choice than some not famous broker right?

There can be many reasons. Here s a few examples:

1) Very good conditions ( sometimes too good to be true ). Very tight spreads, generous bonuses etc.

2) A professional-looking webpage with companies that claim offices all over the World and they give international addresses and phone numbers ( not everybody knows that companies offer virtual offices at prestigious addresses and calling centers for a minimal monthly fee ).

3) Regulations in some countries like the USA that limit leverage to 50:1 or put brokers under the obligation to open accounts only to individuals with a certain net worth etc. REGULATED foreign brokers might decide it s not worth their trouble to offer their service to US citizens. Then, US citizens might get attracted by unregulated brokers that will open their account without problem.

4) Some people might be attracted by a broker that is located in some offshore jurisdiction like the BVI and the likes because they want bank secrecy and tax evasion.

5) Some people think that all is fine if their chosen broker has good reviews in forums like the FPA. But a good Ponzi Scheme ALWAYS start with excellent service.

6) A broker might claim to be regulated but not all countries have a website for their regulated brokers that is in english, easy to navigate and easy to understand for the person who wants to check the licence ( try CYSEC in Cyprus...do you speak greek ? OK they improved lately )

7) Some brokers are actually regulated, but in some jurisdictions like Mauritius where the regulations and capital requirements are actually a BIG JOKE. Not everybody understands that, being regulated is one thing; being regulated in a country where regulations are strict is another.

8)Not being aware that Forex is an OTC market where fraud is commonplace because there is no central market where all operations are cleared like let s say the futures contracts at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Newbies start with the idea that fraud must be rather rare and exceptional.

9) Some people like Pensee might come from a culture where business is traditionally done based on trust rather than based on legal papers.

10) Other clients come from let s say the former communist block and are also unfamiliar with investing etc

11) Even reputable brokers got fined for cheating their clients ( FXCM ). Some people might decide " They re all the same anyway " and they forget that, at least, FXCM can be found and fined. Other brokers disappear and cannot be found or fined.

12) Finally...laziness. It takes time and effort to verify everything about a broker. It takes time to understand the differences between the legislations in multiple countries etc

Well said. Sad for folks to spend so much time researching a broker and still get nailed. Let's run em out of town. The brokers that is.

Possible address

By putting 2 and 2 together, there may be a possible address for this company.

The address on their website is:
Falcons Financial Investments, LLC. “FalconsFx”
P.O. Box 4190, 147-29 182nd Street
"Springfield Gardens",NY 11413 ,USA

This cannot be found.

However, if you search for this address:
147-29 182nd St, Queens New York

An address can be found... right next to Springfield Park in Springfield Gardens.... concidence?

Go to Street view and you see it is a company called Aramex. Who happens to be a courier/delivery service. Of course they will be able to 'resolve' the address discrepency... suspicious

Could it be possible that FalconFX and Aramex are one in the same?

Update:
As you can see from this post within the last few days:

Aramex is going by the same address as posted on the falconsfx web site.

On second thought, maybe FalconsFX is just renting a P.O. box from Aramex and is not actually Aramex. In this case, the owner of box number 4190 must have registered their contact details with Aramex.

Its a lead at least for further investigation or reporting to authorities. Aramex may be the key to reveal who is behind this.

Such courier service simply rent postal boxes for companies that want to hide their real address. Of course, Aramex and Falconsfx signed a contract together and there is the name of a Falconsfx representative there, but there must be some kind of confidentiality clause. It s common practice for scammers to ask for confidentiality and companies like Aramex that rent a postal box or companies that rent virtual offices around the World are simply running their own business and collecting a fee. And dont forget all the internet registrars hosting anonymous domain names. All those businesses know very well they are helping fraud but they dont do something illegal. Aramex sure wont help the victims without a court order.

I tried to get into the link. I kept getting an apology page as my IP address was not allowed in. I couldn't even access the registration for membership page. What's on it?

The page is a kind of blog and a couple persons in Qatar talk about their Aramex mailbox in the US. They use it to buy merchandises on Amazon. The articles they buy are first shipped to the mailbox and then forwarded to them in Qatar. It s the same address as for Falcons.
