Alex, though I am basically a Newbie, I have noticed quite a lot of traders posting that they lost money using EA. And those that claim that certain EA makes money are either Sellers/Vendors of these EA or get commission for selling these EA.

I would advise you to learn to trade on your own and not rely on EA and other automated trading system that claims to make money. I hnoestly believe there is no such money making system or else they will be no brokers as all traders will be sitting back sipping their cool drinks while their "robot" makes them tons of money.
Likewise, it would be very unwise to rely on signals as you will basically be relying on others to do your trading for you. What would happen if those signals that you depended on for your trading suddenly stop?
It's better to learn forex trading properly and develop your own trading style and system. That way, you will become your own master and chart your own trading future.
If you still want to use EA and other so-called automatic trading system/robot, you might as well put your funds in "Managed Accounts" but which comes with substantial risks.

All the best in your trading!

    Hy Alex,

please, do not risk your money only on "signals" from other people or indicators or EAs ... you have to learn to make your own "signals" ... change to demo accounts and learn to trade with 3 positive months in a row. If you trust your own "Signals" and your strategie which was succesful for at least 3 months in a row switch over to your real-money-account and trade there for 3 months with the smallest lot-size ...

You should have to learn on H4 or D1 timeframe ... based on price-action at horizontal support/resistance lines and candles and patterns ... and proper money- and riskmanagement ... no indicators are needed ... maybe some diagonal trendlines, but those are not so important as horizontal support/resistance lines (regions) in H4 and D1 charts ...

If you need more informations about that, mail me at my yahoo-address (see top-right) ..

I wish you a nice weekend,
    greetings from here,

    Dietmar

I use FXDM signal service with good results...

    Hello,

As of July 2010, I have subscribed to this signal service for about 6 months and have made thousands of pips! The signals include entry, SL and TP levels and the trades are open anywhere from 1-5+ days. It's great if you can't sit in front of your computer all day long waiting for a trade to line up. It compliments my day trading and scalping very nicely. It may seem a little pricey at first glance but one trade can pay for the entire signal fee for the month. Rarely do you get what you pay for in this industry, but in this case, I have. FXDM has sent me trades that closed 400-500 pips in profit and very rarely are there losing trades. I've also learned alot (especially patience!) by simply watching how FXDM trades. I will continue to subscribe to this signal service as long as it is affordable. I rate this signal service with 5 stars!!!

Some signal services are good, other bad, all in common have theat they are very expensive. My main problem with these kind of services, however, is, that you dont learn to trade, if you just follow other peoples recommendation. You need to find your own way, sooner or later, and the sooner u start with it, the better for u. The money u put in signal services, invest in yourself, try all kind of strategies, try newstrading, trechnical trading, fundamental trading, and see what fits to your personality best. There are several free sites, where u can learn, there are free no deposit promotions where u can try strategies, there is no need to risk thousands of dollars until u find ur own personal strategy. And then will come the day, where u have found your own strategy, then plan your trade and trade your plan, have a reasonable money management, and you will make your own income, without paying the BMW of a signnal provider, who isnt better than yourself. If you have any question, feel free to ask me. take care
