I'm getting ready to open my first account, and I've been doing a lot of research on brokers and EAs, and any advice is welcome.

Is a 1 pip fixed spread pretty standard?

How many pips can I expect to be charged? Do most brokers charge extra if you want to scalp?

What brokers are best suited for EA ? Especially for scalping....from my understanding, trading in Demo mode is misleading because the trades are executed right away. In the live mode, there are slippage and requotes and the spread widens.

So someone please share with me names of your brokers ?

i am using FXOpen.
apart from occasional requotes, there is no problem really for me.
they have an alive forum, always got answer within 24 hours from their support, or has a live chat normal times.
For me a big advantage that they allow scalping, unline most brokers.
Also using MT4 platform, what i prefer. They support also EA trading. Offer bonus like most broker for funding account.
Spreads are low enough, 2 pips EURUSD, 3 pips GBPUSD, and spreads are most times fixed, even around news times, however orders might be delayed a bit then.
