How come my review didn't get put up? (Let me make up some wild conspiracy theories since I don't bother reading)

I put up a review that was positive and it didn't get approved or put up. It's been over...I can't remember, it's been that long.

Yes, I looked at the "dude where's my review" thread and I don't think it applies here.

Again, it was positive and I think that my good experience so far should be shared...

FPA Review Moderation Team Note: The items on the Hey Dude, Where's My Review page apply equally to all reviews without regard to the reviewed company or the rating given. If the page does not explain the problem, there is a contact form on the page. It collects the information needed for us to quickly look up your review and see what happened.

Here you go......

I left a review and it didn’t show up. Hey dude, where’s my review?

I don't think you read my post...
I already checked that link. Thank you though

To be honest, I think it's kinda sketchy since this forum seems to share info with the brokers. So we don't know if they're getting paid or what.

Sorry I just don't trust them, been around the block and know a thing or two.

Perhaps you should read a little more of the FPA's history before making up conspiracy theories. You should also go back and read the note the Review Moderators left in your first post. If you had really carefully read the "Hey Dude, Where's My Review?" page and still didn't understand why your review was rejected, why didn't you fill out the contact form on the page? Would you like to get your issue resolved or would you prefer just to try to cast doubt on the FPA?

The FPA moderates reviews. If you think this is a bad idea, are you ok with a company leaving fake positive reviews for itself? If you think all reviews should be approved instantly without being checked, read these...

The FPA communicates with brokers and traders. The FPA invites brokers to come in and resolve problems. If you consider that to be a bad thing, then the FPA is probably not the place for you.

The FPA does not give advertisers special treatment in the reviews. If you consider that to be a bad thing, then the FPA is probably not the place for you.

The FPA has canceled advertising contracts with brokers that scammed members. If you consider that to be a bad thing, then the FPA is probably not the place for you.

The FPA exposes bribe attempts instead of accepting bribes. If you consider that to be a bad thing, then the FPA is probably not the place for you.

I find it sketchy that you give them forum members information without permission, unless representatives are making assumptions by matching the exact same issues with the user....I doubt this very much.

I didn't see any agreement in the signup that our personal information would be distributed, sold and/or shared.

I even saw a review that was put through and the "moderator" notated the IP address was the same as the brokers. Again, it was posted as a legit review anyway.

So yeah, there's some funny business going on here regardless of what you write.

There isn't much keeping me here. I do agree it isn't a place I really want to frequent as there isn't much learning communicated here. The forum doesn't have much activity from what I see.

Funny how now you put my messages in "approval" format. You seem to have a little moderator God syndrome. It only hurts the forum regardless.

Do what you feel the need to.

Please stop making up fiction. The FPA does not and never has shared client information with brokers or any other forex company. This also applies to queries from lawyers, regulators, or law enforcement officers. Such information will only be disclosed under a court order. This is covered in the FPA's Privacy Policy, which is linked at the bottom of every page...

https://www.forexpeacearmy.com/community/help/privacy/

and the part about the FPA never selling or sharing information with companies is also covered here...

You claim...

I didn't see any agreement in the signup that our personal information would be distributed, sold and/or shared.

You aren't very observant. Let's take a look at the signup form...

When you signed up, there was a link to the Privacy Policy visible. If you missed it, you could have looked at the page footer and seen it. Instead, you try to claim it doesn't exist or was somehow hidden from you.

If a reviewer voluntarily puts their account number in the "Account number or other identifier (optional):" slot of the review submission form, that information is visible to company representatives. If it is put in the body of a review or in a post in the forums, then anyone can see it. Even if a company is trying to contact a member to resolve an issue, the FPA will forward the company representative's contact information to the FPA member and will not share the member's information with a company without explicit permission. In the event of a law enforcement office or regulator asking for a member's contact, I personally forward the information to the member. Read this if you still think the FPA hands out private information on request...

https://www.forexpeacearmy.com/community/threads/i-am-a-regulator-or-law-enforcement-officer-and-want-information-about-a-companys-clients.42826/

You obviously missed that the self-review by a company representative was not only given a moderator note to indicate the review is fake, but was also is assigned a Zero star rating, which penalizes the company's overall rating. This policy has greatly reduced the number of companies leaving fake reviews for themselves.

Automated moderation of posts from people with low post counts prevents large amounts of spam. You seem to prefer to see the forums overflowing with recovery room scams and gurus offering 50% per day profits in every thread. The FPA is here to protect traders, not to bury them in scam offers.

It's too bad you have this urge to make up scary stories instead of using the FAQ or simply asking questions. Even when you are pointed to the correct place in the FAQ, you don't seem to want to bother to use it. I see you haven't bothered to fill out the contact form on the "Hey Dude" page. Filling out that that form could have gotten your issue straightened out far faster than the time you've wasted creating even more conspiracy theories. If you really read the Hey Dude, Where's My Review? page and it didn't explain the issue, why didn't you follow the instructions and use the form instead of starting this whole new thread to ask about it? Why didn't you use the form when the Review Mods added a note to your first post? Why didn't you use the form when I told you about it again in Post #4 above?

Since you feel you can do a much better job running a forums and review site with no moderation, please go ahead and open your own forums and reviews site. Come back after a year and let me know how many people accused you of being unfair and having a god complex. You can also tell me how great your site is and list all the ways it does a better job of dealing with spammers, scammers, and people who have nothing better to do than come up with easily disproven conspiracy theories.

You probably think I'm going to ban you. Believe it or not, being a crazy conspiracy theorist who would rather argue and insult me than actually reading forms isn't a bannable office. You're going to have to get a lot more uncivilized if you want to run around bragging about how your false and misleading statements got you tossed.

What I am going to do is correctly label you as Conspiracy Theorist and dump this thread where it belongs. It will remain on permanent display in the Forex Insanity folder as a reminder to people to pay attention and check the facts before making up crazy stories.
