Agree with pharaoh but you can be profitable trader earlier than 2 years.

Some traders can get profitable very early. Others may take more than 2 years. I wish there was a way to say "Read these books. Test these systems. Demo trade for exactly XX months. Now you are ready to go live and make a profit.", but there isn't. Different people have different trading styles and learning curves. If there was one perfect path for forex profits that worked for everyone, then everyone would already be on it by now.

IMO, Nobody will tell you that way.
