Demo and Live could be same but in Live, your might don't have your expected price because of votality. But big brokers could minimize slippage.

    Isn't occasional slippage unavoidable?

The first step you can do in your trading life is to think thoroughly whether you want to enter the world of forex or not. Forex market is an unforgiving place for the weak. You need to have a set of skills to survive and conquer the market. It is not fun and games. You need to enter with a serious approach.

Demo and life account is a different emotion, if we trade on demo account will free from emotion pressure, its because we only use virtual money, which this means not real money, or fake money, hence although losing trades it will no effect to emotion, different with trading in real account, emotion pressure will disturb trading setup, fear losing money, anxiety but sometimes overconfident

The first step you need to take in forex trading is that you need to learn the basics and fundamentals of forex trading. It will take a lot of time but for your survival, you need to do it. Another step you need to do is spend a lot of time in demo account trading. Then, start investing real money.

I think it is also a good idea to outline a learning plan for yourself once you do learn the basics and gain enough understanding of the different types of analysis. Focus on the topics you wish to learn more about and make a list.

You should start with the demo account and do some work on that account. You should also have to get some knowledge and experience about the forex market. You can get experience from reading articles, by doing some research, by reading the news and also from the professional traders.
