S&P 500 gain of 8.34 points for a close at 1,362.30

RUSSELL 2000 gain of 2.81 points to close at 705.20

FTSE Global Equity Index Series (GEIS) gain of 2.15 points to close at 241.20

FTSE RAFI 1000 gain of 46.15 points to close at 5,601.35

BEL 20 gain of 104.62 points to close at 3,768.41

CAC 40 gain of 93.15 points to close at $4,941.45

FTSE100 gain of 96.30 points to close at 5,885.20

NIKKEI 225 gain of 391 points to close at 13,478.90

On the NYSE today, advancers came in at 2,062; decliners totaled 1,096; unchanged came in at 106; new highs came in at 30 and new lows came in at 18. U.S. December Durable Goods Orders: rose 5.2%; as compared to consensus of an increase by 2.1%; December Durable Goods Orders, Excluding-Transportation rose 2.6%; December Durable Goods Orders, Excluding-Defense rose 2.9%; November Durable Goods Orders Revised to an increase by 0.5% from a decrease by 0.1%.

U.S. Retail Sales: for First Three Weeks of January fell 0.3% versus December.

Conference Board January Expectations Index: came in at 69.6 versus December reading of 75.8; Conference Board January Present Situation Index came in at 115.3 versus December reading of 112.9; U.S. Conference Board January Consumer Confidence came in at 87.9 versus December reading of 90.6.

Commodities Markets: The trend was mostly higher across the board today for the Energy Sector: Light crude moved higher today by $0.65 to close at $91.64 a barrel; Heating Oil moved higher today by $0.02 to close at $2.53 a gallon; Natural Gas moved lower today by $0.10 to close at $7.94 per million BTU and Unleaded Gas closed with no change at $2.33 a gallon.

Metals Markets: ended the session mixed across the board today: Gold moved lower today by $2.0 to close at $930.80 a Troy ounce; Silver moved higher today by $0.05 to close at $16.80 per Troy ounce; Platinum moved lower today by $6.80 to close at $1,721.90 per Troy ounce and Copper moved higher by $0.11 today to close at $3.30 per pound.

On the Livestock and Meat Markets: the trend was higher across the board today: Lean Hogs ended the day higher by $2.13 to close at $65.63; Pork Bellies ended the day higher by $2.60 to close at $90.85; Live Cattle ended the day higher by $0.93 at $94.75 and Feeder Cattle ended the day higher by $1.58 at $104.25.

Other Commodities: Corn ended the day lower today by $1.25 at $501.00 and Soybeans moved nicely higher today by $13.00 to end the session at $1,266.75.

Bonds: were lower across the board today: 2 year bond moved lower by 2 8/32 to close at 99 23/32; 5 year bond moved lower by 11/32 to close at 103 15/32 today; 10 year bond moved lower by 24/32 to close at 104 23/32 and the 30 year bond moved lower by 1 16/32 to close at 110 14/32 on the day.

The e-mini Dow: ended the session today at 12,481 with a gain of 104 points on the trading session. The total Dow Exchange Volume for the day came in at 187,540 which are comprised of Electronic, Open Auction and Cash Exchange. The end of day results for the CBOT (Chicago Board of Trade) which is comprised of the total Exchange Volume for Futures and Options (EVFO) including Electronic, Open Auction and Cash Exchange ended the day at 3,271,339; Open Interest for Futures moved higher by 38,321 points to close at 10,417,519; the Open Interest for Options moved higher by 232,589 points to close at 8,771,895 and the Cleared Only closed higher by 22 points to close at 21,920 for a total Open Interest on the day of 19,211,334 for a total Change on the day with a gain of 270,932 points.
