At the closing bell on the Stock Exchange, here is how the major indices ended the session on the U.S. Markets:

DOW (Dow Jones Industrial Average) loss of 64.87 points on the day to end the session at 12,182.13

NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) loss of 35.92 points to end the session at 8,823.12

NASDAQ gain of 11.82 points for a close at 2,304.85

S&P 500 loss of 5.62 points for a close at 1,331.29

RUSSELL 2000 loss of 3.88 points to close at 698.90

FTSE Global Equity Index Series (GEIS) loss of 0.26 points to close at 234.55

FTSE RAFI 1000 loss of 33.53 points to close at 5,472.84

BEL 20 loss of 40.52 points to close at 3,612.07

CAC 40 loss of 14.15 points to close at 4,709.65

FTSE100 gain of 59.9 points to close at 5,784.00

NIKKEI 225 triple digit loss of 190 points to close at 13,017.20

On the NYSE today, advancers came in at 1,258 decliners totaled 1,893; unchanged came in at 103; new highs came in at 30 and new lows came in at 52. On the NASDAQ today, advanced totaled 1,266; decliners totaled 1,710; unchanged came in at 111; new highs came in at 24 and new lows came in at 128. Momentum stocks traded by active Day Traders on the NASDAQ today: First Solar, Incorporated (FSLR) gained 7.59 points with a high on the day of $175.35, a low of $163.94 for a closing price at $173.19; Baidu.com Incorporated (BIDU) gained 1.61 points with a high on the day of $241.64, a low of $227.60 for a closing price at $233.91; comScore Incorporated (SCOR) shed 4.53 points with a high on the day of $25.45, a low of $21.89 for a closing price at $22.92.Comments from President Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Dennis P. Commodities Markets
The trend was higher across the board today for the Energy Sector: Light crude moved higher today by $3.66 to close at $91.77 a barrel; Heating Oil moved higher today by $0.10 to close at $2.55 a gallon; Natural Gas moved higher today by $0.20 to close at $8.30 per million BTU and Unleaded Gas moved higher today by $0.09 to close at $2.36 a gallon.

Metals Markets ended the session higher across the board today: Gold moved nicely higher today by $12.60 to close at $922.30 a Troy ounce; Silver moved higher today by $0.34 to close at $17.11 per Troy ounce; Platinum moved sharply higher today by $32.60 to close at $1,884.00 per Troy ounce and Copper moved higher by $0.09 today to close at $3.54 per pound.

On the Livestock and Meat Markets, the trend was mixed across the board today: Lean Hogs ended the day higher by $0.18 to close at $64.88; Pork Bellies ended the day higher by $1.10 to close at $98.10; Live Cattle ended the day lower by $10.95 at $95.10 and Feeder Cattle ended the day lower by $0.83 at $105.03.

Other Commodities: Corn ended the day higher by $8.50 at $508.0 and Soybeans moved nicely higher today by $7.50 to end the session at $1,339.50.

Bonds were higher across the board today: 2 year bond moved higher by 8/32 to close at 100 12/32; 5 year bond moved higher by 23/32 to close at 100 428/32 today; 10 year bond moved higher by 1 2/32 to close at 98 26/32 and the 30 year bond moved higher by 16/32 to close at 99 9/32 on the day.

The e-mini Dow ended the session today at 12,177 with a loss of 101 points on the trading session. The total Dow Exchange Volume for the day came in at 239,902 which are comprised of Electronic, Open Auction and Cash Exchange. The end of day results for the CBOT (Chicago Board of Trade) which is comprised of the total Exchange Volume for Futures and Options (EVFO) including Electronic, Open Auction and Cash Exchange ended the day at 5,540,650; Open Interest for Futures moved higher by 130,553 points to close at 10,673,361; the Open Interest for Options moved higher by 151,236 points to close at 9,974,296 and the Cleared Only closed lower by 14 points to close at 21,78+ for a total Open Interest on the day of 20,669,443 for a total Change on the day with a gain of 281,775 points.
