The FPA can do a lot more if people follow procedure. Each person complaining needs to start with a 1 star review and their own thread in Scam Alerts. Then, if the company won't respond to the trader inviting them join the discussion, a Traders Court case can be filed. Each Guilty verdict changes that trader's 1 star review to ZERO stars. If a company gets 3 or 4 unresolved guilty verdicts, they end up with a scam finding.
Check the FPA's reviews for scam rated companies and see how few survivors there are. Some do managed to hold on, but they still lose a lot of business.
