operate forex without brokerage

Does anyone know how to operate forex without broker, the legal steps to take and everything else?
what are the advantages and disadvantages, costs, etc ...

You'd have to buy currency from a currency exchanger like at an airport. The markup is ridiculous. It's possible but isn't a viable way to create wealth.

Any retail forex broker with a standard trading platform will have spreads low enough to make profit. If you are not using a broker, you will need to buy from an exchange and that's very pricey.

Well yes its a first step, then you need to care about your strategy, opening position only on one instrument is risky because its inefficient with high risk. Rather try to decrease risk but decrease profit to less extent, rather than dreaming about millions trading 1:1000 leverage, its worse than casino.
