On 21st December I watched a video from facebook. This was The Saffa Method, and as I am from South Africa, there was a South African flag on the page, and it was narrated by Jake Mason, with an Australian accent. "Jake" assured me he was giving out software and it would not cost me anything to trade. I gave the site my email address and phone number. I was called by Option.fm and when I told them I wasn't interested because the Saffa Method seemed dodgy to me he explained that this was just an ad to get interested parties and he was the broker who would do the deals and my details had been passed on to him. I said I wasn’t interested and had just clicked something on facebook. This was a long call, and I was in the car. He was persuading me to just invest $250 and see what happened to the deposit. When I got home he called again and told me to log on to the website www.option.fm and create an account. I gave my credit card number for the withdrawal of $250. I went away for the Christmas holidays and told them I would not do anything until I returned in January.
On 3rd January David Green called. He asked me to give him a Meeting Share and talked me through their site. He showed me the various trades and said I was not to do any trades myself but that he would look after me and would only do binary option trades where there was a bonus protection. He explained that various companies gave Option.fm these options and if there was sufficient in my account my capital was 100% safe as the bonus protection was in place. He persuaded me to deposit $4,000 via the credit card and told me to log on in the morning to see the balance. He showed me the trade he was going to place, with the bonus protection in place. He said this trade was going to be bonus protected and I could not lose. He did not explain the bonus which would be added to my balance and when I saw this added amount the next day I presumed this was now my real balance.

On 4th January David called again, asked me to look at my balance, which had increased by about $2000 and said he had applied for a withdrawal of $50 which was on it’s way to me to prove that the accounts department had the withdrawal set up properly. David persuaded me to deposit another $5000 – he told me to borrow it, take an overdraft, do whatever it took. He explained to me about non farm payroles and that another bonus protection deal would come up on Friday 5th which I couldn’t take advantage of unless I had a balance of $10000.

On 5th January he called again. My balance had been credited with another bonus and he told me to deposit another $15,000. I told him I couldn’t afford this and he promised me that I would be able to withdraw my capital and still leave a very healthy balance by the end of the following week. He asked me what colour I liked, white, gold, silver or pink. I said pink and he said an I-phone 7 was on it’s way to me because they did so many deals with Apple Inc that they were given gifts to distribute. He asked for my physical address, which I emailed to him.
He said he wanted to put me together with another client of his – her name was Betty – who had $70,000 in her account and if I put in another $15,000 he could put us together into an Elite account and he showed me the additional benefits on the website. The balance needed to be $100,000. He said Apple stock was set to go up in price the following week and that I would see $50,000 in my account very soon and I could then withdraw all my capital if I wanted to. Again he said the deal was bonus protected, and said it was only available to Elite customers. I wrote to him and said I could not afford this and would wait until there were other deals. He called me again and said a client had died, this client had a $5000 bonus due to him and he, David would give it to me if I could find the additional amount to bring my account up to $30,000 - this amount clearly included the bonus they had given me as well as my capital investment. He required another $10,090 from me and he would l then be able to participate in the Apple deal as an Elite account customer. He reiterated that I must not deal on my own and only he would place deals on my behalf. He spoke to me on Friday 6th January, still "excited" about the Apple stock deal and again told me not to be tempted to deal on my own.

Hi David,

Thank you for the opportunity, but I can't get my hands on another $15,000 in the very short term. As I told you, I have put my capital with a finance house and apart from a small amount of liquid cash which is being used to fund my monthly draw downs, the rest is invested for medium term growth. Hopefully there will be other opportunities which will allow my balance to increase, albeit at a slower pace. As you have already almost doubled my initial balance of $9250 to $15845, it would be better for me to just leave the $4000 withdrawal for a few days and know that you will find another "sure fire" option for you to take for me. I do see the benefit of an Elite account, but as we have reached Executive so rapidly, and although $50,000 in my OFM account by the end of January is more than attractive, I haven't got the capital to give you so I will have to pass this time.

Is it not possible for you to get $30,000 for Betty from someone else, and also put my $15,845 balance into Betty's account, making the Elite account $115,000+ instead of $100,000+

Thank you for the I Phone 7 - what a treat! My physical address is :

Kind regards

I immediately wrote to David asking him about this, but he did not respond, and I have not heard from him since. This notice appeared again on 12th January, and was then taken down. I called one of the numbers David had been using and a switchboard operator said David had not been at work for a couple of days, the notice was because the company was closing down and she advised me to withdraw my funds. Whilst she held on to confirm the withdrawal transaction with me I applied for a withdrawal of the balance of $38366, being $19,340 my capital and $19076 in bonus deposits. This withdrawal request is dated 11th January and is still pending on their site. as per copy taken today, 20th January.

On Friday 13th Steve McCarthy, he said he was a Specialist and had been leading David in his deals. He said said David had been reassigned to other clients, the growth in the company had been very rapid and they were consolidating their client base. He asked me if I was at my computer, I was not, and although he called me several times during the day I did not take the calls.

On Monday 16th Jan, I received another call from Option.fm. I asked if this was Steve, no Jason. Jason told me to "quickly" go to my computer, log on because he was "going to make lots of money". I told him I only had deals with a bonus protection and David did not allow me to deal on my own. No, No, I am here to help you. I am an "expert". He then told me to go on to the "chat with your account manager" link on the site, which David had never used, he always called me (to ask for more money). It was frantic, frenetic and absolutely horrible. A few deals won, but then they all lost and my balance is at $3436. Jason then said, on the chat, the recovery person would contact regarding the losses, and he has since refused to speak to me.

I have written two messages on the site "for urgent matters, report to management" but have had no response. I have written three emails to David Green, and one to Steven McCarthy, neither of whom have replied to me.

This is the link to Saffa Method which encouraged me to log in in the first place. I wish I had never seen it/

I have read other threads carefully and will complete the bank dispute form using the services not provided reason for the chargeback but any advise you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Wensley,
Feel sorry for your loss and for being another victim of Option FM
You could do both as you should not pass the time limit for chargeback with your bank.
