Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

Problem Optionrally scam

I am having an issue with a company
Does OptionRally have any source of income other than client deposits?

What ever I will answer here - regardless if I really know or not - is not a subject of this thread. Let's make a thread - Business Model of Forex, Binary Options and Stock Market Floors and discuss it there. The little I know - it is like asking a bank - what the bank makes money from? From it's clients' deposits? The answer will be - NO, but without client deposits there would be no bank

Mike really needs to quit that small time gig with Option Rally and go into politics. After all, that's another masterful sidestep to a direct question.

Out in the real world, any competent bank spokesperson could easily explain how lending at higher interest than paying depositors results in a net gain (while skipping over all the insanity of fractional reserve lending, since those facts would shake people's confidence in banks). Any bank caught spending client money on company expenses (as opposed to spending profits realized by loan interest and other fees) would quickly be shut down by regulators.

Allow me to give the REAL answer to the original question. Like an online casino, virtually all of the income of binary brokers like OptionRally come from client deposits. Successful withdrawals of initial deposits and profits hurt the bottom line. Losses and unpaid withdrawals help the bottom line. Since there is no such thing as an LP for binary options, there is no possibility of hedging trades, passing the risk on to a major bank, or acting in an ECN/STP fashion. Other than the possibility of a small amount of money on the side from partnership deals with other firms, everything there, from the utility bills and server hardware to all the salaries (including Mike's) is paid for out of client deposits.

If the company is honest, this can still be profitable as long as winners don't collect too much money. If that happens, the company has 3 choices. 1. Become dishonest. 2. Reduce payouts. 3. Go bankrupt.

If the company is dishonest, nearly 100% of client deposits will never see the inside of any client bank account again.

Hello optionrally rep!

Your company still calling me, i don't know why! I just know that i don't want to invest my money in any where and don't need to talk with no body.
You have to know that i just asked to get ( my ) money back, and i got it.

So there is no reason for that transaction your company made it on my visa account ( $1000 ) .
Furthere more, i tried to check my optionrally acount to check thats amount on my acount or not, i couldn't log in, and can not get my new passeord, i though that i have been blocked.
Any way, i need the porpuse of the transaction ???

So you claim they have just charged your card without your authorization? Interesting...

Don't be upset, you have to remember Hanukkah is approaching and they need money to buy gifts! I just wonder the part in there with KWD if that does not stand for "Kris World Development" ... Interesting...
