At the closing bell on the Stock Exchange, here is how the major indices ended the session on the U.S. Markets:

DOW (Dow Jones Industrial Average) triple digit gain of 189.52 points on the day to end the session at 12,570.54

NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) triple digit gain of 145.25 points to end the session at 9,210.08

NASDAQ gain of 24.13 points for a close at 2,327.48

S&P 500 gain of 18.69 points for a close at 1,371.80

RUSSELL 2000 gain of 15.02 points to close at 710.45

FTSE All-World ex-U.S. gain of 0.17 points to close at 240.52

FTSE RAFI 1000 gain of 3.56 points to close at 5,636.06

BEL 20 gain of 71.54 points to close at 3,733.96

CAC 40 gain of 94.71 points to close at 4,919.26

FTSE100 gain of 111 points to close at 5,999.50

NIKKEI 225 gain of 414.1 points to close at 13,914.60

On the NYSE today, advancers came in at 2,345 decliners totaled 826; unchanged came in at 84; new highs came in at 64 and new lows came in at 37. Momentum NYSE stocks traded by active Day Traders today: Lowe's Companies Incorporated (LOW) gained 1.05 points with a high on the day of $24.90, a low of $22.99 for a closing price at $24.61; BorgWarner Incorporated (BWA) shed 1.11 points with a high on the day of $45.99, a low of $44.18 for a closing price at $45.50; NYMEX Holdings Incorporated (NMX) gained 4.32 points with a high on the day of $104.09, a low of $100.25 for a closing price at $103.69; Ritchie Bros. U.S. January Median Existing Home Price fell 4.6% on the year to $201,100; U.S. Inventory of Unsold U.S. Homes at 10.3 Months Supply; U.S. January Existing Home Sales Consensus came in at rate of 4.81 Million; U.S. January Existing Home Sales fell 0.4% to 4.89 Million rate.

Chicago Fed Index 3-Month Average fell 0.60% in January versus a drop by 0.69% in December and Chicago Fed National Activity Index fell 0.58 in January versus a drop by 0.69 in December.

Dallas Fed February Business Activity fell 21.4 versus drop by 20.7 in January; Dallas Fed February Manufacturing Production Index came in at 7.1 versus reading at 17.7 January; Dallas Fed Business Activity fell 21.4 versus drop by 20.7; Dallas Fed Mfg Production Index 7.1 versus 17.7.

Commodities Markets
The trend was higher across the board today for the Energy Sector: Light crude moved higher today by $0.42 to close at $99.23 a barrel; Heating Oil moved higher today by $0.02 to close at $2.76 a gallon; Natural Gas moved higher today by $0.03 to close at $9.22 per million BTU and Unleaded Gas moved higher today by $0.01 to close at $2.54 a gallon.

Metals Markets ended the session mostly lower across the board today: Gold moved lower today by $7.30 to close at $940.50 a Troy ounce; Silver moved higher today by $0.05 to close at $18.09 per Troy ounce; Platinum moved sharply lower today by $14.30 to close at $2,153.50 per Troy ounce and Copper closed lower by $0.05 to close at $3.76 per pound.

On the Livestock and Meat Markets, the trend was mixed across the board today: Lean Hogs ended the day lower by $3.00 to close at $60.50; Pork Bellies ended the day lower by $0.65 to close at $95.30; Live Cattle ended the day higher by $0.85 to close at $94.83 and Feeder Cattle ended the day higher by $0.15 at $107.45.

Other Commodities: Corn ended the day nicely higher by $12.00 at $547.00 and Soybeans moved sharply higher today by $31.00 to end the session at $1,469.25.

Bonds were lower across the board today: 2 year bond moved lower by 6/32 to close at 100; 5 year bond moved lower by 19/32 to close at 99 19/32 today; 10 year bond moved lower by 26/32 to close at 96 22/32 and the 30 year bond moved lower by 1 11/32 to close at 95 11/32 on the day.

The e-mini Dow ended the session today at 12,586 with a gain of 191 points on the trading session. The total Dow Exchange Volume for the day came in at 209,766 which are comprised of Electronic, Open Auction and Cash Exchange. The end of day results for the CBOT (Chicago Board of Trade) which is comprised of the total Exchange Volume for Futures and Options (EVFO) including Electronic, Open Auction and Cash Exchange ended the day at 4,824,564; Open Interest for Futures moved lower by 223,123 points to close at 10,508,303; the Open Interest for Options moved lower by 1,603,968 points to close at 6,452,220 and the Cleared Only closed higher by 541 points to close at 27,756 for a total Open Interest on the day of 16,988,279 for a total Change on the day with a loss of 1,826,550 points.
