Price of Oil Versus Dollar

Does anyone know if the price of oil affects the strength or weakness of the US Dollar? And in which way? Long term signals?

I guess it does but I can't really go into details right now.But here's a thought,each time oil goes up,so also does the Canadian dollar or 'Loonie' as it is known by its nickname.So each time oil goes up,Have a look at the USD/CAD pair.
