they tell me that over and over again. that's once you make the tax payment. they will send me the documentation and in 15 days I will be able to get my money.

Why did you deposit with these people?

I met this person through a friend. who invited me to invest in them. is there any way to withdraw the funds?
I have photos of conversations and phone number of the person with whom I was talking a broker of them.

Don't tell the company anything about complaining to the regulators or other government agencies. Instead, just keep asking for your money back and keep asking a lot of questions. They may say something else the regulators want to hear about. For example, if they say the tax money is going to the USA, you can talk to the IRS about them. If they claim its for some other country, the IRS has it's own list of other tax authorities around the globe.

While doing that, talk to the Secret Service, the FBI (at IC3.gov), and as many other regulators and law enforcement agencies are appropriate. You can start here to for more ideas on where to file complaints.
