FPA did nothing except tell us about a case that the NFA is dealing with.
Not all Scam Findings are the result of an investigation. Some are about things the NFA, CFTC or SEC release to the public. The reviewer who tipped off the FPA to this is clearly thanked in the article and in the scam finding. If one of my review moderators hadn't sent this over to the Scam Investigation Committee, it would have just been a simple 1 star review.
The FPA sent a warning out to the mailing list. The FPA gave members and guests a quick summary of what was going on. The FPA marked this company as a scam in the reviews. This means that people who might have been getting ready to send money to this company have a better chance of getting warned if they google the company.
The FPA's primary mission is to help people avoid getting scammed in the forex market. Publicizing scams to warn traders is a critical part of this mission. Even if no FPA member was scammed by this company, it serves as an example of what scam companies are capable of.
