What you're saying is that the Financial Ombudsman Service in the UK reviewed your case, and their investigation found no error in FXCM's execution of your trades or the original findings of the Trade Audit Committee.

I'm sorry you're unhappy with this resolution, but I'm going to have to consider this matter closed.

I have now been able to look at your case in more detail. I am attaching a letter that FXCM wrote to us about your case.

They make two important points about when a stop loss can be triggered at a price that is different to the stop loss figure itself:
Where the price in the market 'jumps' from a price on one side of the stop loss to the other - in other words when trades in the market are not executed at the exact stop loss price.
When there is 'slippage' between the time the stop loss is triggered and the time the closing trade can be executed. This can occur in certain difficult market conditions.
These circumstances are explained in FXCM's terms and conditions. Please let me know if you would like me to give you more details about this.

FXCM have also identified three trades where the exact stop loss price could not be used (51046902, 51046852 & 51046831). The total loss arising from these was $81.35. It is unclear how you arrived at a figure of $2400, so can you please explain how you calculated this amount by reference to the specific trades that caused this loss.
