RESOLVED - Octafx issue

Looks like AsstMod jumped in and set the thread to "resolved" status.

I'm glad to see Octa fixed this. I know some brokers allow accounts to go negative, but that was a bit excessive.

Referring to account going negative, I did believe that once you Wipeout your account balance with a trade the broker closes the trade and your account is at 0. Are there brokers that will leave a trade open?

Most brokers margin call before zero. Some margin call at zero. Still, if you have large trades open and the market gaps against you over a weekend, it is possible to get a negative balance. A few brokers offer negative balance protection to cover you in a case like this. Most don't.

Happily, this case was just a technical glitch that the broker quickly fixed.

In my early forex years, I had a Demo account with a well known broker which left me with over usd1 million negative balance.
Needless to say, I never ever went live with that well known broker!
