Russia plans own cryptocurrency, would ban bitcoin

They already have few currencies like Webmoney, Qiwi, Yandex Money and maybe some more. But so far no real cryptocurrency, they obssesed with outer intruder over web, that's why they wanted to ban What's up, banned Telegram, LinkedIn, torrent sites (inner ones too), western porn sites and so on.

I find that this is very interesting. There might be possibility that Russia will issue its own crypto currency but as a part of monetary system, which would be controlled by authorities. It really could make payments and trade easier

I bet such thing would never happen. Russia lately concenctrates very heavily on something like for example so i am more than sure that such things will probably not going to happen anyway. Cause crypto are not really backed by anything.

FB is starting own crypto currency, so why would not Russia also have one? I also think that many other large international companies will follow FB just in order to stay competitive on the market. Anyway, large companies became so powerfully rich that now they would like to have own monetary system

Chinas central bank has already issued own crypto currency backed by their local currency. I dont see any issue with it. I think that it only can be positive for increasing popularity of crypto market

We shouldn't make any attempts for that to continue unless we are doing something like that later anyway. We all can go with whatever we want though. I do want to make it possible really, but in Russia it seems much harder than in China for example.

As per todays news it seems like Russia is not willing to allow any crypto currencies on local market. On the other side, Germany is passing regulation which would allowed local banks to accept deposits in crypto currencies, while at the same time they are banning Libra ?!

I don't believe that Russia will launch it's own cryptocurrency, as it won't be popular even among Russian cititzens. Also, Russian bans don't work properly, so I think that nothing bad won't happen. And even if it will, that won't affect world market.
