Throughout my trading journey I have traded various strategies but when it comes to scalping it is most trickiest as it involves complete attention and concentration. Till date i have able to develop this basic strategy which definitely helps to start on a good note.

Thank you for your comment, I just have one more question I once read that scalping is profitable only when trading large quantities. Also with a low brokerage. Is that true?

Let me explain the logic to you behind this. When you scalp you trade on tiny movements in the market, so when you are opening and closing trades quickly you wouldn't feel happy about paying high commission on trades because you will be placing a lot of trades while scalping unlike 2 or 3 long term trades. Thus you would look for a broker who is charging very less commission so that your scalping cost is reduced.

Next is trading quantity, same principal applies. You are trading many trades for small price differences thus, profit per unit is very less. So if you want good profits you would need to trade on higher lots. But at the same time I do not recommend you to just start trading huge lots because you will loose more as well in case the trade goes wrong.

Thus, its better to understand the logic and then decide accordingly. I hope my explanation helped you.
