I have been approached over the phone by a trading recommendation service by the name of tradingacademy, they said they were registered with the FCA, no record of them there. They got me to open an account with AvaTrade and I wasn't able to deposit so have not lost any funds and waslooking if anyone had experience of their service as they also claim to have operated for 9 years in the financial markets.

So this is just awareness, right?

Someone calls you out of the blue and wants you to deposit money with them?

@AvaTrade CCare @AvaTrade Customer Care have several outstanding cases (unresolved) from people who claim they are owed quite a bit of money.

Both myself and @FxMaster have donation buttons. If you feel so inclined to make deposits somewhere, why not do it with people known for real scam busting?

YE I have been contacted by them! This is another SCAM company that calls from changing different relay numbers that seem to be originating from the local country where the recipient is. DO NOT talk with them, obviously this is part of the same big scam that has been around in Europe for some time. They have different websites etc. This could be a new strategy to get hold of the customer, first get him to be registered at a "training site" and then call again and get more and more money etc. Tell them to f_ ck off and just block the number on your phone and mark it as a spam number for Android Google to warn other people. This kind of investment companies that LIE, and call FROM different changing phone numbers are all 100% SCAMS. period.

Tradingacademy.io is a SCAM. Tradingacademy.io has an aggressive cold calling campaign, different people with different levels of English call despite requests to stop! It is soo irritating. Tradingacademy.io has the classic scam question: "Have you been doing online trading?" And then it starts. They pose as a trustworthy educational website which is an effective strategy. They use domain squatting strategy with the original tradingacademy-com website, so when people do online searches, they think that the positive feedback is about tradingacademy.io website. By the way I found this funny webpage about tradingacademy.io at tradingacademyio-io.zyrosite.com

If you were scammed by them personally, then open your own scam alert and submit evidence.

Tradingacademy.io is breaching GDPR for sure and many other laws. They look very similar to other scams that have been going on in Europe for 1-2 years, aggressive calling from fake phone numbers. Tradingacademy.io is easily confused with the original -com business which is a legitimate educational business. How irritating is that? Tradingacademy.io leads victims to use scam platforms etc. I asked what kind of education they have, and the only thing they could do was to have another" specialist" on the phone asking for more information and especially what platform are you using...check their website! Tradingacdemy.io only contact information is the UK based fake phone number!! No company information, no contact information for tradingacademy.io = 100% SCAM.

Everyone, who facing the issue with a broker, please open a new thread in scam folder.
