What is Consolidation??

Hello All,

Please do you mind explaining to me the meaning of consolidation or range trading. i have googled consolidation but couldnt get anything reasonable.

Look at some daily charts for a few pairs. You'll notice that sometimes the price trends upwards, sometimes it trends downwards, sometimes it's all over the place. At other times, after a strong trend or some wild swings, the price seem to "settle" into a fairly narrow range. When this happens, it is called consolidation.

thats when the big boys with all the money slow down a bit to plan their next statedgy to get all your money. the market will stop trending and will move up and down but only a small amount. they are waiting to see where they can can the most money by going up or going down or by going nowhere just to confuse the heck out of everybody
