On July 10, 2012 (the "Petition Date"), Peregrine Financial Group, Inc. dba PFG Best (the "Debtor") filed a voluntary petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois (the "Bankruptcy Court") seeking relief under Chapter 7 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. Ira Bodenstein has been appointed as the Chapter 7 Trustee of the Debtor's estate. This website was created to assist the Trustee in providing information for creditors and interested parties, as well as to solicit and receive comments from such parties.

Ira Bodenstein, not personally, but as chapter 7 trustee (the “Trustee”) for the estate of Peregrine Financial Group, Inc. d/b/a PFG Best ( the “Debtor”) is in the process of determining whether persons who maintained accounts with the Debtor will need to prepare a customer claim form. No such determination has yet been made at this time.

The content of the standard proof of claim form is not tailored to address customer accounts. The fact that the claim form is on the website is not meant to imply that creditors’ claims will be addressed before customer claims.

Please return to the website regularly for additional updates from the Trustee concerning customer claims.

Telephonic inquiries can be made at (877) 465-1849.

CFTC sues PFG for 'violating' customer funds
By Ronald D. Orol
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - The nation's commodity's regulator on Tuesday said it filed a lawsuit against Iowa-based investment firm Peregrine Financial Group Inc. alleging that the firm committed fraud by misappropriating customer funds. According to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, in July 2012, the firm allegedly falsely said it held more than $220 million of customer funds when in fact it held approximately $5.1 million. The CFTC complaint in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois follows a similar situation with New York-based MF Global, which filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 31 after disclosing exposure to derivatives and other investments related to billions of dollars in European sovereign debt and leading to $1.6 billion in missing customer funds. According to the suit, PFG CEO Russell Wasendorf attempted to commit suicide Monday.

They Seem not to really care about their Forex department anymore. They liquidated my account and took my money. I feel since all the money in this industry is going out of the country because of leverage they are screwing the few clients they have. BEWARE. If they have such a bad outlook on the customer they might as well screw their Futures customers soon. Also will be updating this to scam pending a conversation with their customer service department on the location of my funds. Also will be passing this to my affiliates who trade Futures with them to close their accounts.

I have been trading 4x for 7 years. I recently funded an account with PFG through FFI an IB for PFG. So far it has been a very pleasant experience. If you are needing someone to hold your hand then go to daycare but if you are looking for tight spreads and low commissions then PFG is for you. Futures and Forex under one roof with no trading against you. Customer service is an opinion. Customer service at Walmart isn't great many times but they have the best prices. This isn't your daddy's forex market. Just give me good pricing, platform options and speedy execution . So far...very well done.
