Russell was referred to me by a Forex account manager some 6 odd years ago. He tried to get me to pay to join his group for trade recommendations usually only USDJPY.
It became clear to me that he really had no idea of how trade, he totally ignored the technical aspects.
He agreed to give me a one month trial and I kept a concise record of his trades as I was getting live feed on his account. Basically he lost pretty well every day, he had no idea of scaling or risk management and over the month the account I was watching lost 30%. On me telling him I would not be paying for his trade advise he became aggressive and abusive and that’s where we ended our brief and unrewarding relationship.
He just couldn’t trade.

takes your money, promises everything, disappears and only communicates when he has an excuse to get more money from you and will not return your "investment " how many words can you use to describe him ? Thief, crook, liar, con man many more before you start swearing. On the positive side he is persistent, creative, always finding a new fee or charge that prevents him from returning your money, did I mention dishonest, but if he calls you "mate " in his emails its all o.k. never met him in person, but probably lucky because he seems like he would be able to steal your wallet and watch and any other valuables if he gets within a metre of you, I suspect he spends his lunchtime around Barangaroo pick pocketing innocent people. I hope he robs the wrong person one day makes Jordan Belfort look like a saint

I didn't hear from him for months, when I questioned him, he said the market turned at the end of each month so no profit to share, send more money and go into a better fund get paid twice a month, again no contact and no money, now if you send more money you can withdraw more than you have put in, had answers to refute all the other bad reviews, sent more money, now can I have my money back, NO you have to wait 90 days, but if you send more money he will transfer to another fund where you can get money back immediately. I waited 90 days, now the trustee wants $660 but he will pay half, send $330 ! I asked him to take the $330 out of proceeds, no you have to send money first . how many times does he think I will send him money ? I will never see my original $750 or the second lot, do NOT let him do this to you or anyone else, all the good reviews seem to be from his associates

Advising extreme caution when dealing with Russell Sandiford or Reiwa capital or livefxtrader or any of his other brands.

This man is deceptive, evasive and is a poor communicator. Gaslights anyone who challenges him. Communication with him has all the hallmarks of financial scams. Uncertain whether he is operating a Ponzi scheme or some other fraud.

Any due diligence you should tell you all you need to know. (Including the other reviews)

For starters does Russell Sandiford have an AFSL license to operate a private investment fund in Australia?
Secondly, is there any formal documentation provided to you before you deposit any funds? Are the funds invested in your name?
Do you receive statements or investment performance updates?

I have the same experience as Kirsty. Russell Sandiford takes your money and allegedly trades the FX (however I speculate that it's just a demo account), he does provide regular updates and he will show a profit but he never pays out. He then changes the rules and always asks for more money in order to keep the scam rolling on. Apparently he has just sold Reiwa Capital (this week infact!) and I need to deposit another $1500 this week to keep his shenanigans going....blah blah blah....He is an absolute con artist, scammer, silver tongued charlatan. Stay away from this guy!

Invested a couple of grand with Russell back in June 2020 in an alleged Hedge fund, and cannot get him to tell me what is going on with my investment. The profits were supposed to be distributed monthly. I have never received any profits in the following five months, so he is either making no money with my money and refusing to tell me that, or, he is keeping the profits for himself. He will not answer basic questions from me, and in response, sends me long winded emails that essentially ignore my questions, and attempt to deflect attention with long winded nonsense. To add insult to injury he has even asked me to invest more money while refusing to answer questions about what has happened to the money I have already invested. I now consider this man to be a scammer and I am in the process of reporting him to ASIC.

Now all this time has gone by and I have not received one coaching session. Russell has disappeared on me twice in this time for 3 weeks the first time, so I questioned it, and you get I have been unwell for a few weeks. This includes his trade of the day just stopped. The emails start again but no coaching sessions. 4 weeks the second time and I got the same answer again I've been unwell. At this point I asked him to prove through his live account (that his clients have access) to start making money. As in the time from my first review to this one his live account has lost about 50% of its value. I also got talking into (as Russell says I am a loyal client) a hedge fund type of set up that lost about 25% of its value in mare weeks and did not get any trades put on for the rest of the year that was paid for. So I have asked for a refund as this just is not how I seen this working out. All I got in return was emails sent back in big bold writing and personally attacked for my efforts to get my one on one coaching or a refund. I feel that this guy has taken full advantage of this situation to benefit his own financial position by taking advantage of his clients.
