I've been reading a lot of scams since I met a dubious person from Facebook Dating advocating about Futures Trading with Gold incessantly. What I found out is that it seems the the company continuous to evolve and recreate itself as more and more people gets entrapped in this organized scam.
My key observation is that the Broker company always has "3650" in its URL or company name. And the usual trading platform used it the unregulated MT5.
Currently, their underlings are widely spread in dating apps! I've talked to 2 in a span of a week (one from Facebook Dating and another from Tinder). Some key red flags to check out:
- Common spiels used are:
- "How much are you earning"
- "My Uncle from Harvard taught me to do trading"
- "How's your job now?
- Other notable signs are:
- Doesn't want to meet as they want to "get to know you better first"
- Repetitive conversations about investments (every day)
- I own a <blank> company
- After a few exchanges on the platform, they'll coax you to transfer to WhatsApp
As for my experience, as a naturally skeptical person, I didn't fall prey to this scam. But it is a highly elaborate and intricate scam that anyone who doesn't do enough digging or due diligence can get sucked into investing loads of money.
Be wary!
