Being a customer of FXSalt I received an email on 2012-06-26 in which they ask me to subscribe a fund release request. They assert to apply for a regulation in an European State. Since 2009 they wrote on their website "FXSALT are in the process of seeking regulation in the BVI." They did never obtain the BVI regulation, I wonder how they will achieve it in an EU State.
What makes me also feel insecure: FXSalt does not mention in which EU State they apply for the regulation, they do not say at which Custodian Company the funds are being held and I never got to know a full name of a staff member, except one or two first names.
I really do not know how to react upon this email. I am afraid to lose my money subscribing this release request.

Note: If FXSalt should turn out to be another scam company this would really upset me. Their trading conditions and execution are excellent and I never experienced any attempt of fraud or manipulation. Withdrawals used to arrive within 22 – 48 hours in my bank account.

Has anyone got this email, too? Here it is:

Dear Valued Customer

As you may have noticed, there have been lots of changes made to FXSalt as we have grown over the past few years. We are no longer a white label brokerage but are now a fully established broker.

During January, earlier this year, we migrated all of our customers trading accounts, including yours, from our old server to our brand new servers in NY4 (NYC) with redundancy backups in Zurich. We set up deeper liquidity with better execution and newer more reliable servers. We now use PrimeXM as our bridge provider who are the market leaders in bridge technology recommended to us by CITI group.

Now that all the migration has taken place, we have applied for regulation in a European Union State and hold all deposits in European Banks backed with 3rd party client fund insurance policies.

The last phase of the upgrade is to move the remaining funds that are being held at our Custodian Company over to FXSALT LTD. In order to satisfy our future regulators as well as our Custodian Company we require your knowledge stated on the following letter attached.

Please can you sign, scan and email a copy of the attached form. If you return the signed form within 48 hours, we will credit your account with a $50 USD bonus

Thank you for your continued support

Regards

Team FXSALT

Two months since is my ECN Account FxSalt.
Deleted the Ticket 1825940 ($ 581.86) after 3 days.
Slowly manages complaints.
Past 15 days.
The website: fxsalt.com, fxsalt-ru.com

You can read this on the homepage:

"NO dealing Desk- STP (Straight-thru Processing): Traders know that their trades are direct to the market and are not being manipulated by the forex broker

NO Re-Quotes: Our system sends your trades direct to our pool of liquidity providers. The price you see is the price you get."

THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!

Been with FX Salt with a live account for six months trading EA's. No complaints very professional, last month made a profit of £2700 on a £5000 account. Drew against this and had my money in my bank account within 48 hours. However I suspect that last months profit may be exceptional. Time will tell ! But no grumbles.I believe they are based in UK territory and British Financial regulations apply. But please do your due diligence !
