During big CPI news suddenly no payment by credit card possible

Service use: Live Length of use: over 1 Year
I have to warn about this broker. The deposit availability by credit card, can change from one day to the other. It's not reliable. I could not make any payment since yesterday by credit card. They recommend as replacement other dubious scamming payment providers as PerfectMoney, WebMoney, Fasapay. It was not possible before and during CPI inflation news to make a deposit there, because credit card payments were not available suddenly. So it seems, that their payment systems have zero redundancy, if one payment system which coincidentally is not available when or before big news arrive.
Very big coincidence that this happens when big movements in USD are to expect :-))) They brought me in a bad situation now and it's not known, if or when credit card payments are again available. So be careful, if you don't want to lose your money with this broker. This is a NO GO for a broker, that you cannot rely that you cannot make deposits on the usual way by credit card suddenly. And this broker does also not warn, that their deposit systems will not be available. You will find out as a surprise. Not good and very bad experience for me.

Dear Ronaldo

Cards can be unavailable because of PSP (Payment Service Provider) side or/and payment systems restrictions. Please use other options, e.g. SEPA. If you need a fast deposit, then crypto is the best option.

At weekends extremely big spreads, bigger than other brokers

Service use: Live Length of use: over 1 Year
I cannot recommend IC Market anymore. I liked this broker once, but as some people say here, they make dirty tricky with setting the spread over 20 pips at weekends, especially for USDCAD. If I compare this with other broker, this is not acceptable. They can stop you out or close positions with big spreads, if you open many trades.
And I tell you...they closed my positions more than two times now, although my margin level was bigger than 2000%.
You can open max. 200 positions. During normal trading sessions the spreads are ok, but at weekend they will break your neck with their spreads. Sorry, I found another broker, who does not play these kind of games with me.

May 23, 2021 - 2 Stars I saw in the last weeks now very often very high spreads at USDCAD after market opening at Sunday.
Sometimes ICMarkets gives you almost 20 pips spread, which is absolutely crazy.
I compared it with other brokers, even with brokers with bigger spreads and cents accounts.
7 pips at one broker -> 20 pips at USDCAD (23.05.2021)
6 pips at another broker -> 20 pips at USDCAD (23.05.2021)

SO how is your statement regarding this, ICMarkets? This is really ridiculous! You play with the spreads as no other broker!

Jan 1, 2019 - 2 Stars They have very often problems, that there servers are not available.
I don't like to inform the forex provider, that their server is down:
Why they cannot inform people, when this happens?

Dec 13, 2018 - 3 Stars ICMarkets has advantages and disadvantages.

Execution times are normally ok for me. The web platform is ok too and they have many payment options, for example Paypal. Payments to my accounts work very fast. Normally I would give this broker 5 stars, but...
I have a big problem with hyperactivity messages for my accounts sometimes. Some things are very obscure and not very transparent for a trader, like this "hyperactivity" issue, which is completely nonsense.

Dear ICMarkets, please think about this, if it's really necessary to disable accounts when 5000 "messages" are reached from one account per day. Better install more performant servers or network architecture to reduce your bottlenecks than to bother people with this hyperactivity mails. Btw it makes absolutely no sense in my opinion, if you allow 5 accounts which generates 20000 messages in amount but if you disallow 1 account which creates 20000 messages. Both setups are creating the same load for your systems, if they run on the same servers, do you agree?. So I cannot find any logical reason, why ICMarkets is doing this, because normally they discard to additional commissions because of disallowing "hyperactivity".

And please can you explain me the difference of 20000 messages of 5 accounts on the same server in amount and 20000 messages of 1 account in amount? I don't see any load difference but you see obviously a difference, because the first situation is allowed, if every of these 5 accounts has only 4000 messages and when the second situation occurs you will disable the account. Does this make sense? No!

On the other side I have no overview when exactly you will disable an account. Where can i see, how many messages my account produced till now? Nowhere! This is not transparent enough. I want to know exactly, how long I can still trade, till my account would be closed. If I give you money, I want transparency.
People will go to other brokers, if you send hyperactivity messages to them, because I don't know any broker, who would check "hyperactivity" from their customers, because every trade more makes the broker happy...normally.

So I can only recommend to you...find a technical solution for this issue and stop this hyperactivity things, because there are some days, where activity becomes higher, for example at bigger movements or higher volatility. But these days are not so often normally. No trader will like if you disable his accounts, because this means for me, that you want make losses by purpose to your customers, if you disable accounts.

And sorry, this argument "This process is automated by our systems", which I saw here already as an answer to a user post, I cannot accept in this case. Who is managing your systems, if you cannot change this issue to give your users a good and performant environment? If you don't take these user critics for serious, then people will change to another broker for sure.

Another point is, that these "on_tick"-calls, which cause normally hyperactivity, is a normal and supported function in MQL language. So why you are not supporting a normal MQL functionality then?

And btw...why there is no official documentation about these hyperactivity messages? I asked somebody from your support guys, but he said, that this is not documented in your official conditions. Why do you hide this from your customers?

Kind regards

Please be assured that we invest heavily in the technology we use, and we are confident in the up time of our servers. Unfortunately, minor disconnections may happen at times, however these are usually for very short periods of time, leaving us no possible way of informing our clients before they are back online. We are always very transparent with any technical issues we face, and we will always assist our client with any losses resulting from such events. Reply by IC Markets submitted May 26, 2021 Hi Rene,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate your feedback.

We maintain the lowest spreads on the major pairs globally, and we are well known in the industry for this. However, If you’re trading during news releases at the daily market open time of 00:03:00 then you will see wide spreads and slippage. There is extremely low liquidity at this time of day.

Please note there was a bank holiday in Canada on 23rd May all day (Victoria Day)

We understand your frustration. Unfortunately, we are unable to locate a ticket at our end regarding this issue. Please reach out to our support team at support@icmarkets.com and we will be more than happy to fully investigate your trade(s).

Dear Ronaldo,

We appreciate all the feedback from our clients.

Please note that Forex, such as USDCAD, is closed during the weekend, thus there is no market movement at this time. You can only trade some digital currencies on weekends. You have also referred to the spread being ok during normal trading sessions, which is to be expected because the trading time for USDCAD is Monday-Friday (Daily: 00:01 – 23:59).

Allow me to mention at this point that the spread could widen at market opening/closing. This is generic to most CFD providers. It would be best to perform a complete trade investigation for you therefore please reach out to us at support@icmarkets.com providing trade details in question. We will be more than happy to fully investigate them and provide a full explanation of exactly what happened at that time.

Kind Regards,

Not reliable broker

I think. GCI is a scam. I asked them some days ago about sending me a statement about deposits and withdrawals, but they simply don't answer. I think, they are not even interested in answering any mails.
You should not give them there money or you will have only problems!

When you try to write to GCI, they say, that their mailboxes are full! Very interesting ;-) This seems not to be a very trustful broker :-) -------- I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below. do not exist.
You may want to access https://www.gcitrading.com/about-gci/contact for details on our email addresses. Relationship Manager email addresses are not referenced in this "contact" page.
Email address ib@gcitrading.com is also operative with no detected incidences.

B. We do acknowledge that GCI response time was not good enough. We nevertheless find totally unfair to rate a company as "scam", being GCI or others, because of delays in replying a non-urgent email just prior to the holiday season.
It also appears that our GCI Relationship Manager Edgar, who offered on several instances to have a call over the phone with our client Mr René N., was unfortunately not put in the loop immediately.

We trust that the thread here below speaks for itself.

Dear Mr N****,

Edgar here, your Relationship Manager. Kindly apologize these delays in getting back to you.

As mentioned by GCI Payments Dpt, company policy is to not provide statements directly but rather have our clients being able to generate them from their end and at their own convenience. There are several reasons for that, one of them is to avoid potential issues related to sending files by email that can sometimes weight tens of Megabytes. I understand that this is not the case here.

Regardless, I do share the same perception as yours and do acknowledge that your enquiry has not been addressed in a timely manner. GCI has been experimenting a pic of business activity that explains, at least partially, these delays.

Now, addressing your request, I took the liberty to pull your statements from 1st January 2016 to 31st December 2016. You will find them herewith attached in a .pdf file. Please let me know if everything is in good order.

Looking forward, should you wish to pull out other statements, please access your MetaTrader trading platform itself:
- From your Terminal, choose “Account History” tab and do a right-click.
- From the pop-up window, please select “Custom Period…”.
- Once you have input the period of time you want to pull your reports for, do “Save a Detailed Report”.

Please feel free to contact me at any time directly by email if you need further help with reporting or any other topic. Also, please let me know if you wish to have a call over the phone at your own convenience.
Wishing you an excellent week ahead.

Edgar

Dear GCI,
it's really poor, that I cannot access on my account reports, when trading is closed.
I simply cannot access to my reports and your website is not very intuitive.

Well, I will make a conclusion of this behaviour in public sites about brokers.
It's simply not acceptable what you offer to your clients.

To help is not your strength, I think. To take money, probably yes.
Thank you very much for your big help!!!
Btw: Other brokers are able to send reports if you ask them. So your service is one of the worst I've ever seen!!!

Hello GCI-support,

what is wrong with you?

I requested a statement regarding my live accounts there for 2016 and didn't get any answer. Do you really want that I complain at your regulation authority and give you a bad rating at Forexpeacearmy?

Please send me the statement now or I will write you every week a mail about this.

This is not very serious from a broker not to give statements for their customers!

They delete simply your account after some time

Service use: Live Length of use: over 1 Year
I have a big problem with Forextime. I had several live accounts there, where I lost a lot of money in the last 4 years. Now I tried to access to my account, because I need some data for my tax department about my losses and I found out, that they simply deleted my account!!!!?! I checked this and in October this year they wrote me a mail, that they deleted my account completely. This is really bad behaviour of a broker and I cannot access to any of my data anymore. Can a broker simply delete live accounts, when you didn't trade there for longer time? This is not very professional and it looks for me like a big scam, because I can run into problems now, because I have to send some proves to my tax department. So I can only warn you of this company FOREXTIME or FXTM. Btw they have very bad trading conditions, extreme spreads. This was also the reason that I had to change my broker.
But normally broker who sit in Europe should keep their customer data longer than 5 years. I am sorry, but I coiuld never recommend this unprofessional scam company!!!

They need very long time to put money on my account, very unprofessional methods

I tried Blackwell Global as a Broker only for some days in 2017.
I had a small account and wanted to make a payment by Skrill, so that my account stays without margin call over night.
Skrill payments are running through normally very fast at other brokers, but not at Blackwell Global.
Blackwell Global needed 12 hours to put the money on my account. This is not acceptable and I don't know, why it takes so long. I lost my account because of this. This is very unprofessional behaviour of Blackwell.
You can lose your account very fast, if they don't put the paid money to your account. They seem to have no standard payment fulfilling times and I don't like this. It's a bit like coincidence, when your payment is on the account. Other brokers are much better. The GUI for their management interface is very old fashioned. Also not so good for me. I cannot recommend Blackwell Global.

Winnersedgetrading are Scammers: Never give them your credit card data!

I tried to buy a Trading system at Winnersedgetrading.com (Casey Stubbs) at 26th April 2017. They offered a 14 day trial of Striker 3.0 for 7 US$.

During the order process something went wrong and I didn't get any link from them, also not login data or something similar. So I was afraid, that I have to pay something and get nothing.

I complained by mail immediately at the same day of 26th April 2017 with 2 mails. And I told them, not to take money from my credit card, because I didn't get anything and that I don't want this system anymore. It was not my fault, that the order process didn't work.

But they took the 7 US$, although I told them, that I didn't want their peoduct anymore. But this was not everything. They took also after 14 days 39 US$ in May 2017 and another 39US$ in June 2017, although I told them immediately at the same day of my order, that I am not interested in their system anymore.

So be careful with Winnersedgetrading, because if they have once your credit card number, they will try everything to get your money.

I cannot recommend them, because they are not honest and they hide behind some mysterious refund policies, which they don't show you, when you order there a product.

Be aware, because in my opinion these are scammers!
