Although I started my forex life rather recently (2015), I've been in banking and finance since 1994 after completing my UK SFA exams (now UK Financial Conduct Authority).
So far, my forex experience started by being burnt for $15k by a gambler to whom I foolishly gave money believing he was a RocketTrader and then attempting to trade one account with another person whom I taught and recently I just had an Australian broker destroy my account from over usd$17k to zero.
On 18 August 2016, I started researching the "forex industry" using my extensive network of friends who trade in the top banks (i.e. Goldman Sachs and others), an Executive Director at a well-known LP, senior officials in the Dubai DFSA and the UK FCA and other sources one could refer to as above the forex industry i.e. the all-seeing eye.
At least, I learnt that highly-experienced traders consider me to be a professional and very capable trader and I know have a PAMM platform in London at a UK FCA-regulated Exchange where I have no surprises. Minimum investment on my platform is usd$1m.
What I learnt would make you lose sleep and when I met the CEOs of a couple of forex brokers who realised I knew about as much as they did.... well they started chirping like a bird about the systematic theft of client funds and how it's done.
As the CEO of a credible forex brokerage (and a professional acquaintance of mine for 6 years - well before I started trading forex) told me during me recently: "If I don't want to pay you, there is no way you will ever get a penny from my company. And, if you sue me, I will sue you and you will lose and I will win. Read my contract... you have no rights. If you cannot trust your broker then find another one." Ouch! Enough said! Of course, he was not threatening me; he was just articulating the mentality of forex brokerages.
Then my chum gave me what he called "Terms for Professional Traders" that are the best in the industry.
