It appears that they were regulated by Cyprus. My understanding is that the Cyprus regulator will pay compensation to a limited extent. It would be sensible to contact them to find out the exact position and lodge a claim.
If only there was a law to shut them down. The real problem is that they move from one jurisdiction to another and sometimes they are so off-shore that they are in no jurisdiction.
There can be little doubt that they are guilty as charged and I shall be voting accordingly.
I have come across an interesting article in Leaprate and here is a link:
iOption closed down ? the real story - Forex | News | Regulated | FX Brokers | Binary Options | LeapRate - Forex Industry News
It does suggest that there is some credibility behind the persons promoting the company...
I think that there is little I can add that I have not already said in the other case. To me there is absolutely no doubt of their guilt and I shall be voting accordingly.
If they are closed I think that we need to look at their conduct and the persons behind the company. The website does not suggest that they have closed.
I am a little concerned by the note on the bottom of the front page. It reads:
Important note: Binary option trading, although can be very...
I have just entered a vote of guilty and find that I am not alone. I see that the website has been revamped with the various bank logos being omitted. That just confirms their guilt and really there is no debate.
Looking at this one very carefully I do not see any merit in anything that they are saying. It strikes me that it is all smoke and mirrors. The position has been made very clear to them and they have not said what they propose to do to rectify matters. For me, I will be entering guilty when...
This seems a very open and shut case. On the evidence there is no defense and in my book, it is guilty as charged. After thinking about this one some more, I really do not think that there is anything that can be said in their favor.
Looking at the FMRRC website it might be that they will accept a claim in relation to 4xp. Does anyone else have any experience in filing a claim? I presume that sbr220 has not made any progress in receiving redress. It looks like that they will honour a claim so long as there is membership...
My experience has been completely different with eToro. Whilst we had our disagreement, they treated me fairly and dealt with matters properly. I can do nothing but recommend this broker even though they have said that I may never trade with them again and I have agreed to this. It is not that...
My experience is completely different with eToro. I found them to be very fair and honorable. They said that I had offended their rules. They were never explicit as to what they felt I had done wrong. However they gave me a choice as to either take a penalty or close my account with them paying...
Whilst there is evidence against this broker that it does not segregate clients money, to charge them for failing to honor a guarantee is not really a scam issue. Having voted guilty on the other matters against them, I have to vote not guilty on this one. Further I am unconvinced by the...
I have read the details of this case very carefully and I am not convinced of the guilt. Whilst Capital One does need to clean up its act, I do not think that it falls into the category of being a scam. It would have been nice to have heard their side of the story. I was looking at opening an...
This is a difficult case. On the one hind you have a broker that clearly is facing financial difficulties and that can happen to the very best. On the other hand you have a broker that is clearly seeking new business knowing that there are customers that it cannot pay. My view is that this is...
