I agree. I also am looking for something consistent rather than a riskier system of big highs and deep lows. I would much rather have a small but reliable monthly income. :)
Speaking of books (as mentioned above), maybe there is another thread that discusses this, but are there any books...

I also looked up Trading for a Living, and it's pretty amazing how used copies of the book are still selling for $20+ for a book written 20 years ago.
If you enjoy psychology, check out Elder's book. But know that it isn't any kind of trading system or quick fix...
other qualities?
In addition to liquidity and tight spreads, are there other qualities people look for? I'd be very interested to know more about what people value when it comes to choosing their brokers.
