Diamonds Trading Signals Trade Plan

USA GDP - 8:30am NY time (Friday, April 26)

--–––––————————————————————–––––--

Traded currency pair:USDJPY
Initial spike duration limit:30 seconds
Initial spike price action threshold:10 pips
Triggering retracement percentage:40 %
Retracement duration limit:90 seconds
Maximum trade hold time after release:15 minutes
Stop loss:10 pips
Take profit:10 pips
Maximum spread:2 pips

  1. If between 08:30:00am and 08:30:30am, so during the first 30 seconds you see USDJPY move up or down by 10 pips or more, then enter in the direction of the initial spike at the very first 40% retracement if it doesn't take more than 90 seconds (till 08:31:30am) – and if spread is at 2 pips or less. Set stop/loss at 10 pips, and set take/profit at 10 pips immediately.

  2. If the move either up or down was less than 10 pips during the first 30 seconds, then the actual number of the report did not generate sufficient interest in the market, and you simply skip the trade.

  3. If by 08:45:00am, so 15 minutes after the report release, neither your stop/loss nor your take/profit points were hit, then close the trade automatically at market price of the time.

it doesn't trigger for me... never. does anyone have the same problem? i set everything right, i test it but when the news come out it never triggers!

yes, it always says that but it doesnt click! and when i test it it works fine. i tried the mt4 one click app, i tried with my broker one click EA and i even tried with the regular mt4 market order console. don't know what's wrong... hows the lag? is it getting the top/bottoms +/-?

Do you use it on a VPS?

Weird... I've never seen a case when the test is ok and then the clicks don't work at the release time - only if the VPS screensaver or user admin was involved. Thinking... (screenshot?)

no, normal mt4 broker's server...

no, i think it's nothing related with that... maybe i am doing some little thing wrong... i will try again this week with some trades. When the release comes i have the FNG open (i tried with it minimized and not minimized and didn't work both ways) and then it simply doesnt click. Do you use a 1-click trading EA or you open the mt4 open order console and use the buy/sell buttons in there? which one is faster?

Actually I use a one-click-ish environment but it works just like the ordinary mt4's order panel - that is it accepts the click and doesn't wait for the next tick to arrive to send out the order but it sends it right away. The point is the "button" that accepts the click and it doesn't matter where it is and what it belongs to. And I used the client in restored and in minimized state and worked properly both ways. So I'm curious what happens on your desktop next time.
