Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"
Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"
Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"
Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.More info coming soon.

i have tested his HAS MTF HEDGE ROBOT for about 3 months now
this is awesome .
it never blown up your account but it is better you install this expert
on 1 currency pair if you have a little money. for example $1000
to decrease your risk.
take a look to its results within just 10 days.

MQL4 build 600 update and forexrobottrader EA's

My issue is that I can't get a response from Don or Forexrobottrader support regarding the hard-coded EA's that get sent out.
I've bought and use several successfully - Equity trail with the new Fractal Pterodactyl works well - but the files are being sent out
in a zip version that I cannot open - nor can any tech expert I have access too - so, I need the unzipped EA or the zip software used-
but no one is answering my requests.]

In light of the perpetual promotion and sale of the Don Steinitz group of legacy robots and the questions raised here regarding their performance, updates, and support, I feel it is my obligation as a purchaser and former user of Don's early works to report to you the following:

Don Steinitz died suddenly and unexpectedly on May 9, 2012. Here is a link to his obituary:

Don was the creator, strategist, and programmer of his unique suite of EAs, and the owner of ForexRobotTrader.com.
Since his death the business has been operated by his widow and his step-son Dennis Schultz, as named in the Obit.

Due to the asserted discrepancies made here between the claims made in the current marketing materials and the experience of current users, I decided it is appropriate after these 2+ years have past to make these facts more widely known to the FPA community.

I became acquainted with Don as a hapless early user back in 2007, and later came to know him as one who was constantly working to improve upon his own work. Although he was no Saint, I would personally like Don's memory be respected as a visionary, and an original automated retail foreign exchange trading systems pioneer. Sadly, it now seems his legacy is to have his admittedly imperfect EAs continually regurgitated upon the market without any meaningful improvements, nor the least regard for the impact upon unsuspecting new purchasers.

In my opinion, Don's memory deserves better than this. Even if he never achieved the holy grail he sought during his lifetime, he did try to run his business with a modicum of decency compared to his peers of the time. He did attend to his clients, and was quite willing to admit that his products were not yet consistently profitable. He appeared to this observer as one committed to continuous improvement; plus he did sell his wares with a commitment to supply on-going updates as he developed them. Obviously that is not happening now, and likely never will.

I cannot speak to the vast discrepancies between currently advertised performance and the actual performance of the currently marketed products, because I have not returned to using the old products, nor have I received a reply to a recent email to Mr. Schultz with whom I also had a cordial relationship in the period prior to Don's death.
.
If the Steinitz Org would like me to retest and validate their current offerings I would be most agreeable to providing them and the FPA Membership an impartial, independent, comprehensive 3rd party assessment and review. Dennis, all you need to do is ask.

Thank you very much for this update. I was one of Don's early customers and greatly respected his work. His products were fun to work with and educational. I always looked forward to his webinars. Back in April 2012 he started a trade copy service and on May 17, 2012 I sent him an email asking why there were no trades for a few weeks little did I know that he passed away on May 9, 2012. I was always wondering why he never contacted me; except for the strange phone call I received from him about that time, but never actually talked with him.
Anyway, the reason for my revitalized search for him is because of the newest EA offered at his former website called, "The Almighty Reaper Forex Robot".
I was planning on purchasing this EA and tried to contact Don and did not receive an answer to my emails.
Does anyone have any additional information on the "Reaper".

I wish I had found this website sooner but I only found it when I Googled 'is forex Reaper profitable?'
I am relatively new to forex - August of this year - and I have spent many hours at the desk trading on demo
accounts. I have thought about a Robot several times and there are always plenty being promoted as 'the gold mine'.
Reaper was originally $199 and I ignored it - too much for the first one I reasoned. Then a discount of 25% - still
No. Then on Tuesday 16th December I received the Email telling me I could have Reaper for the Christmas price of
$99!!
Well its Christmas - and I ignored my ruling ' if it looks too good to be true......' So Reaper is mine.
Up and running straight out onto the charts - default settings they say. A new $10,000 demo account. I checked the
website to see the currencies they were using throughout December and noted all the good profits at lots 1.0 - mine
would be half I decided. Time to double up later when its rolling in!! So I made the magic numbers and lot changes
and at 2.30 cet I pressed the 'AutoTrade' button.
The dogs were ready for their walk so plenty of waiting time for it to work. But wait, Reaper is doing its thing -
4,5,6 trades within a minute. Wow !! Off for the walk then.
One hour later, opened the front door and the dogs crashed out. Cup of coffee I thought - best check on Reaper first
though. Tapped the mouse and the screen came to life - what's this? 9600 - down $400 in 1 hour - oh well.
Off to the kitchen for coffee. Looked at my watch - did not want to miss the US market coming online soon.
Quite a bit of activity but by 4.30 another $400 down and not looking too good. And then.....in the space of 10
minutes, loss of 745, loss of 897, loss of 1283 -- over $3000 down in 2 1/2 hours!!!!!! Thats for me -- Over $6000
for them - that won't look too good on the December trading account now will it.
Slight pullback through the evening and at 22.00 it was $7400.
Wednesday - 8am - lost $200 overnight and minor ups and downs through to 5pm - balance now $7700. More downs to
follow - balance at 8pm now $5870. Pulled some back to show $7070 at 22.00
Thursday - upto $8000 and back down to $7000 with a strong finish to close at $9000 at 22.00
Friday - trading upto 11.00 was steady but then back onto the downhill run -
losses of 281, 161, 150, 126, 134, 158, 164, 142, 126, 177 and 238.
I pulled the plug at 20.30 feeling totally miffed. A winner straight out of the box eh?? The balance was now $6769 -
what a way to cripple an account in under 4 days - thankfully a demo account.
So, I thought, can't wait to see their updated December figures - wonder if they will be shown.
What next ? Leave it as it is and it will surely self-destruct. It works on the break-out strategy and seems to pick them up quite well. I think I will let it trade next week and oversee the trades, adjusting TP and SL as I consider necessary, and see if I can get the account back up to $10,000. If that works then I will start tinkering with the settings and try to bring it into line.

It's encouraging to see your Reaper ea is working well.
The skype group I trade with are considering adding automated trading and we are looking at different ea's that may do the job.
Can I ask you to update us with your Reaper results since your last post please?
