Review historical charts where the same deviation of at least 0.4 (%) occurred:

Once there, set filter to Difference Actual-Forecast >= 0.4 and click "Filter" to see list of charts.

Outcome was 1.1 but the FNG placed a SELL trade against a BUY. Why?

Hard to figure out actually. It should have clicked according to the location set in the second row. Forex News Gun client doesn't know much about buttons and functions, it just clicks wherever it's set - for example it can call you in case of a surprise event if you point it to the skype. But please keep an eye on it - it can be a bug even if I hadn't seen it before.
