This appears to be some form of HYIP. The FPA strongly advises against risking any money with HYIPS.

Website is down.  It doesn't take a Genius to see that all HYIPS are nothing more than scams designed to steal money.  We wonder how much money the geniuses who gave this scam 5 star ratings ended up losing.

I have invested in Genius Funds in April 2009. Only a small amount, because I was skeptical. I deposited 55$ Via AlertPay. 5 month later, I withdrew 294.85$ to my AlertPay account. Now that I know its legitimate, I deposited a larger amount (1000$) ...

Review Moderation Team Note: This is how people are drawn into HYIPS. About $250 in profit, then invest $1000. If it closes now, this would end up being a loss.

Yes, Genius is an HYIP. I started out investing $100 in each of 8 HYIP accounts in Dec '08. All of them have disappeared over the last year. However, Genius is still there and paying as it claims.
That $100 is now almost $2,000. They do list an address and phone number on their web site which is promising. I won't know if this is real until I take money out.
You can invest here through a self administered Roth IRA which means any profit would not be taxed but don't invest much and consider this free money if it is still there when you want to cash out.
A word of warning. Make sure you have the best of the best when it comes to firewalls and hiding your keystrokes. I had deposited funds in Liberty Reserve getting ready to move the money on to an account and within minutes another HYIP account had stolen it. If you can wire the money directly to Genius without passing through Liberty Reserve, do so.
