Jack Schwager, in his book, "The New Market Wizards" (critically acclaimed author and trading strategy developer) says on page 479,
"....on the other hand, I have also come to realize that I do not like the trading aspect at all. I do not enjoy the emotionality of making intraday trading decisions. When I am losing, I am upset, and when I am on a hot streak, I am anxious because I know I can't keep it up. In short, it is not my style."
Schwager goes on to confess that he realized after writing the book that he was a tool builder, and an autotrader builder, and not a live trader. In our company, I build tools and auto-strategies. My partner, whose personality is much less emotionless, trades the live discretionary account for both of us.
So when Jeffie1 says, "Didn't square up with me", he hasn't realized like Schwager or his publishers had, that not all good tool builders are great traders. And not all great traders are good teachers or tool builders. There are people that are good at one, and horrible at the other....some who are barely tolerable at both simultaneously. I know what I'm good at, and trust others to help me in my weak areas.
I don't expect anyone to believe I'm a good tool builder on faith, which is why we post the signals in advance each week and let the tools speak for themselves:
