The Power of Doing Nothing as a Professional Trader

Indeed. I've known people who just can't sit quietly and wait for a good moment to open a new position, so they do so out of impatience. And then they they lose their account eventually.

If our trading needs to be good and profitable then we need to do a lot of efforts and those efforts have to be done in the direction of the trends :)

Sometimes there's no trend, just range that seems endless. Some people know how to trade those and make a good profit out of them, others don't but try anyway and lose a lot. It's the latter that need to learn to sit and wait. Or at least practice on a demo account first.

It's true that sometimes it's better not to do anything, especially if you're not 100% sure in your trading ideas. It's better to stay aside and watch the market for a while, and when the time comes you'll make a deal.
