Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

Hi Guys
I am new to forex trading and I am in the process of selecting a broker to trade with. I have been trolling the Google machine and every place else I can think of, and have read reviews on various brokers. I was looking at ICMarkets in Sydney Australia, but they seem to have loads of bad reviews. Virtually every broker I found seem to have some bad reviews.
It seems to me with Forex trading, it’s not just the actual trading and trying to make a buck you have to worry about. It’s all the dodgy Brokers out there manipulating things with your account etc, as well.
Having said all that, I was looking at Pepperstone brokers in Melbourne, I live in Australia and really wanted to use an Aussie broker, it just makes me feel a bit more comfortable I can go and knock on their door if they try to screw me.
I wanted to hear from anybody to uses or has used this broker, and give me their honest opinions on what they are like as a broker, and also how good they are when it comes to withdrawals.
Another broker I looked at was GoMarkets, also in Melbourne, I did try them a couple of months back on a demo, and they seemed ok, but things are different when it’s play money.
I would appreciate all feed back with these two brokers, I guess I have narrowed it down to these two.
Thanks Guys

Compare them side-by-side in demo.

Try out their tech support. Try to ask some easy questions by phone and by live chat and check the response time and accuracy of the answers.

If you can, swing past the offices. Some Australian regulated brokers really have their facilities in Australia. Others may just have a tiny office or even a virtual office. Either way, get photos and share them.
