Where is there an option to turn on/off automatic execution?
I thought classic accounts had instant execution and ECN accounts had market execution, that's it.
I'll say it again. You used a classic account. That means the bid and ask price are NOT the same as those offered by the liquidity provider. They are arbitrarily set by Armada.
From MT4 we can find the bid prices (we hope it's right).... we DON'T know the ask price. And without tick data, we...
I just have to repeat my point.
Your video shows what happened with the Sucden ask price. This is the price that would have been used on the ECN account.
On an ECN account, the Bid and Ask are the best prices from all liquidity providers.
On a classic account it's actually Bid - x and Ask +...
Well, a gap means the quote jumped from one price, to another without, going through all the points in the middle. A candle only shows Open, High, Low, Close... price may have gapped inside of that candle.
In some contexts, 'gap' means between, the Close of one candle, and the open of the next...
If this situation happened with an ECN account, the Sucden chart you posted would be very damning, but with a 'Classic' account, there is a question mark over what the Ask price actually was at that moment.
News isn't just 'what you see on ForexFactory calendar'. Clearly something suddenly changed the perception of the market, and a large amount of investors reacted. I'm not saying you did anything wrong, but possibly neither did the broker. Liquidity risk is something we have to consider along...
I don't see this case being resolved without more information.
That Sucden chart will be for ECN accounts... tobeone used 'fixed spread' account, so at news time, the spread could have been anything, and seems to have been over 50 points.
Unless tobeone was recording the Ask price for his...
Andrew, thanks for staying with this thread. It gives me confidence in the company that you continue to answer questions.
The highest Bid prices on Armada's MT4 was 0.94724. It seems the order filled at Ask of 0.94780. Does that mean
a) the spread was at least 0.00056 at that moment, OR
b)...
Obviously stopping out off chart is unacceptable in normal times.
But is it known to happen at news times? I would have thought not.
Is it the case that the price was offered and filled before a tick was generated? Can this happen?
Sorry to hear that.
This one rang alarm bells with me, they seems to have a few sites:
1lotstp.com
1pipfix.com
2pipfixed.com
4runnerfoex.com
loyalforex.com
fxsystems.com
seemingly starting with numbers to reach the top of alphabetical lists..?
I had a feeling they had all these...
