Thanks, I still don't see how that would be worse than using more levels, because then you'd have more orders open if you retrace from close to the TP and even more would have to be open to offset them.
could you explain why?
From a logic perspective I don't understand why 3 would be better than 1 or 2 or even 10? The more levels, the longer you go on without hitting the TP, the more margin you need, and yes the more money you make. But what makes 3 ideal in your mind?
trying with a puny live account
Also on IBFX but I get lot size too small to trade, what is the smallest account you can run this on, I was planning to only use one level?
Thanks
Naufrage EA question
I'm running the EA now only using 1 level and 15 TP and I have a huge amount of orders open as it's almost touched on the target levels but not quite reached them for the last 6 hours.
I was wondering if you can make a version that doesn't p[lace orders in the middle so to...
Naufrage, thanks for all your efforts. Only using one level and tiny lots I think it will take longer until this blows up :p
Also I wasn't necessarily running this on more than one ccy pair, but any other open orders in the same account seemed to confuse it before.
profit target
Can you explain the logic of this setting, I mean in which case will it take profit rather than ride it out or enter more orders? Also when I run this on more than one pair it always chokes when it reaches a target. I end up with leftover orders and errors saying it can't delete...
naufrage EA
It doesn't seem to work at all if I have other charts and other EAs open. Any idea why? When it's on it's own it works marvelously, except sometimes I get a stray order left at the end of a cycle, and the expert tab is full of Can Not Delete Order # messages.
on multiple charts
Naufrage, when I was using your EA it wouldn't open orders if I added it to a new chart. The first one kept working fine, but any new charts would sit idle. Do you know why this is? Thanks
why 3 buy and sell levels?
I think what's confusing at first is the large number of buy and sell orders at the different levels, what's the reason you decided on three levels above and below the midpoint?
The theory would work the same if you only had one or two buy and sell levels between...
I don't see why
Since you increase the pending orders in the other direction each time it swings I don't see why it matters how many times it goes back and forth.
You are always opening up more or larger orders to cover what you already opened. In reality this will mean that if it keeps...

How do you combat their tactics? It's their system so they can rig it in their favor, only hitting your S/L and ignoring your T/P and then retracing, or simply drop your connection.
Thanks for sharing this, it's fascinating.
