Hi, timeframe choosing depends on your convenience and trading style. For me, I follow London n NY overlapped time. Whether you go for scalping or intraday, choose a comfortable timeframe and try to continue it to monitor your improvement. That's what helped me a lot. Good luck.

Although long means something different in forex, I'm taking it as you meant for time; it depends on which way you like or feel better to do, you should take your time management into consideration for this. As for me, I usually go for long as I can't be on constant follow.

For me it's money what brings people in Forex. But also it's both by the time being when people gets used to it. Patience is everything in Forex to learn and earn ;)
